How Busy?

In a word...no.
Ridetimes has shown longish queues this week, and BPB is expecting the schools peak next week, it is the last week of term for most north west schools I think.

Visting for two days Wednesday/Thursday next week with overnight stay in splash landings. Have school trips died down yet?
Without exaggeration, the park will be hell. Thursday is going to be the busiest day of the season. 25k expected.

Thinking of going later this week, possibly Weds or Thursday but not if the queues are going to be horrendous. Anyone got any ideas how bad it will be, it being the school holidays and all?

I was there today for a couple of hours. It wasn't too horrendous. Busy enough, but not too bad. You should be alright.

I was there yesterday. It was not too busy. 10 to 20 mins queue times except galactica that was 60. The 6 min unload and load does not help thoughput

Friday was fairly quiet for the start of the year. I'd do Galactica first as it seems to be the only ride that gets a lengthy queue :)

I was there too (Mon 31st July) all day and the only ride that had any queue was Rita as it was only running on the one train.

The RMT also had a big queue, but most of other big rides were anything between walk on to 15 mins max waiting.

How unrelentingly awful will it be on the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th of October?

Can't decide which (if any) day to go.

And how hard will it be to get maze tickets on the day, or for the day after?

Don't know if it's on the Friday before the holidays but if the event is running that day it is one of the best days to go if you can make it! :)

Yes the Scarefest in on the Friday before the holidays (20th), what makes you say that it's the best day to go? It was busy on that day last year as everyone had the same idea thinking it would be quiet, including the travellers which also unexpectedly turned up too, I know as I was there

I was there too and despite the travellers I didn't think it was too busy, wether it's just I was in the right places at the right time I didn't think the queues where too long aside from Galactica and Rita. Thirteen was walk on towards the end of the day and nemesis throughout the day at different times. Got plenty of rides done anyways :D I never said it was the best but from my experiences one of the best :)

I also did most of the weekend last year during the Scarefest and the Friday was not the quietest day for me, but I did manage to get in rides. However, like you said, it's being in the right places at the right time to avoid the crowds.

Hey,

Visiting on Thursday 7th September with the missus. Do you know if it will be busy and if most kids will be back at school? Also, what have the rides up time been like recently? We like RMT and the other rollercoasters, bar Smiler.

Thanks

I'm far from an expert, but early Sept is usually the best time to visit any UK park. The kids are back behind bars, and the weather is still good!

Cheers,

I went last year in second week of September for the first time but there were still quite a few kids. As I'm not from the area I wasn't sure if the summer holidays hadn't finished or if they were on a school trip.
