Thorpe Park: General Discussion

He's probably getting confused because the OTSR do fit over your legs like a lap bar.

A member of my family swears blind if Stealth ever does a rollback you get a free t-shirt saying I survived a stealth rollback plus a free MAP, he said he got one, but is never able to locate it...

Has anyone been to Thorpe Park alone? I've bought an annual pass today and just moved to London!! Really wanna go but not sure it'll be worthwhile.

It’s remarkable just how much they are devaluing their product. It stinks of Six Flags strategy c.2004. That didn’t end well.
Yes I remember visiting six flags great adventure early 2000’s and buying a season pass for something like $60, was insanely cheap.

Never really understood how they can sell everything so cheap. Like renewing our MAPs this year will be £129 each, and while I don’t like some of the decisions Merlin make or the direction some of the parks look to be heading, hats just too bloody good value for my family to pass on and I think many others feel the same

We're in two minds over the MAP's, our main park is Thorpe and until things improve at Alton I doubt we'll be making a return there, so we have to weigh up the difference between this £25 deal (£75 for three) and £400 for MAPs and consider whether the difference is worth the being excluded from the park at weekends during August (a time we never normally go anyway) and the occasional trip elsewhere - Merlin have taken away the walk up convenience of the London mid-way attractions so you can't do that anymore, for us, is it even worth it?

Six Flags still do relatively cheap passes (or at least have very good deals on a regular basis) but need to consider that the number of guests who say go to SFMM with a SFNE pass won't be much, so they have to make the cost attractive to those who can/will only visit their local...

As stated, you can do the heck you like with no extra baggage, I do it all the time.
Except for going on X / TWD:TR unless there's an odd numbered group near you in the queue (last time I went it was walk on and I had to wait 15 minutes for a group of 3 to appear)
