Evacuation creds

Thought I'd start a thread for all those rides you've been evacuated from. By 'evacuated' I mean released from a train due to some unusual occurrence, so queueline evacs don't count...

Here's my three:
  • Nemesis, Alton Towers. Stuck on brakes.
  • Nemesis Inferno, Thorpe Park. Stuck in transfer section.
  • Peeking Heights, Chessington. The ride went crazy fast and they kept e-stopping it to evac each gondola one by one, causing a smell of burning rubber each time o_O
What are yours?

Shambhala, on the brake run, because it was the last train of the day and the staff could not be bothered to send one more train and get us back in to the station. They thought it would be quicker to get us off row by row on the brakes, which clearly it was not!

I've also had the restraints manually released on Rita's offload platform when it decided to break.

:)

I was on Ice Blast at BPB a couple of years ago, and after the car went up before the launch they brought it back down and got us off. They then told us they needed to reset the air pressure. Once that was done (and the ride tested) we were back on.

I have yet to experience being evac'd from a coaster though.

Tomb Blaster, unfortunately we had only reached the bottom of the lift hill so didn't get to do much in the way of wandering...

Rattlesnake, Pleasurewood Hills Got evac'd off the ride when I was a kid after it stalled in the dip between the last drop and the hill before the station. Had to climb over a fence to get out the ride area.

Nothing else though

Ive had
*An Oblivion brake run stoppage
*A galactica lift hill stoppage, ended up with a super useful priority pass...
*An VIP exclusive Galactica break run evac (only 4 map VIPs onboard)
*A week later I had a break run evac from Nemesis with a belt so I don't fall down the cliff to my Doom.
*this season a Wickerman station stoppage with lights on and eventual return to station (yet another priority pass)...
*The Smiler issue when just before the normal restraint unlocking position requiring battery packs.

*2 Galactica stoppages were same day!

So in short if you want a ride to stop go when i am there, likewise avoid the park if im there!

Aww, this is just sad... I have a rather measly zero evacuation creds. :(

In terms of stoppages, I had a brief stoppage on Air's lift hill once, as well as spending a rather long time hanging over the Wicker Man construction site early in 2017. Then there's the odd stoppage on Duel every now and then... so yeah, not exactly anything too extraordinary!

I'd love to be evacuated from the top of the vertical lift on The Smiler some day, that really would be an experience... :tearsofjoy:

When you next going then? :p
Absolutely no idea, I might be popping Thorpe this weekend...
Did I mention that those evacs/stoppages happened no longer then a year ago?

I may have not reacted quick enough to prevent a stoppage on duel yesterday, some **** thought it was a good idea to put the gun back in such a position the restraint going down would pull hard on the cable.

If you got stuck on the Smiler's vertical lift hill i expect you'd be featured in the Daily Mirror the next day complete with hysterical headline!

For a long time I have said I would love an evac from the Skyride above the lake, is that at all weird?

Goldmine (now wallace and gromit) at Blackpool, ride broke about halfway round and we got evacuated out walking the rest of the track. Amusingly this happened when it was part of a club pb event, being told they couldn't give us a walk through of the ride we thought the ride ops had done it on purpose but in fact the ride had just stopped working.

Thirteen - stuck after coming out of the backwards section. Had to be released from the train there and walked back to the station.

Spinball - whole ride stopped, sadly no evac but a member of staff had to sit next to me to make sure we got back to the station.

20 odd years of theme park trips and I've never been evacced off a lift hill or a mcbr.

Wicker Man - Stuck in the final tunnel before the station on opening weekend. Our restraints were released manually and we walked into the station, where we were given Fastracks.

Hope you don't suffer claustrophobia and you have a lot of spare time.

If all else fails, they hand crank the cars back to the Station, a full E-vac of the skyride in the case the Handcrank doesn't work would take a full 12 hours at least. It requires the staff putting you into a cucoon like thing and pulling you ought. Have a friend who used to be involved with this, it's not a pleasent process.

Colossus- Thorpe Park

After the power in half of the park cut out, many rides stopped, including nemesis inferno, colossus and samurai. As we were half way up the lift hill of colossus at that time, the ride came to a stop and we were up there for 45 minutes with staff evacuating people off the ride. I had to wear a harness type of thing as I was in the seat that’s the furthest away from the stairs. Ride staff gave us free tickets and fasttracks. The staff handled it really well and it was quite weird seeing the colossus station completely empty. After all of that, we got back on it an hour later!

I've been evaced off Blaster Master at Sandcastle. The water stopped running and I had to crawl all the way to the end. Interesting experience!
