The Alton Towers Dungeon

Yeah the Witches scene at Warwick got me too.

Surely most visitors to Towers would have done at least one Dungeon before? Not only is it lazy to copy and paste the scenes, but they could be risking complaints from people expecting a more unique experience.

The judge that humiliates you, the torturer pretending to cut your bits off and the plague doctor squirting 'blood' everywhere... Boring.

I'd hope that they would have made use of elevators aslo, and I guess they still could. If not though I can only assume that cost was the issue (surprise surprise).

Did the elevators not take a fairly large amount of space in the building? If they are packing dungeon scenes back there is it possible they've gotten rid of them for space for scenes?

For the people who are complaining they have made it cut and paste of other dungeons, the two great thing about that is they have warned you way in advance and if you decide it isn’t for you then at least it is a separate ticket and not taken from the entrance fee so win win.

They do, but I'm sure they could have kept one and got rid of the other.

There's still plenty of empty space where the party rooms and shop were originally planned to go. I imagine you could keep the lifts and still have enough room to fit the scenes in.

The ride has been taken from the entrance fee since it shut in 2016.

1 - The Judge
2 - The Black River Boat Ride
3 - The Torturer
4 - The Highway Man
5 - The Plague Doctor
6 - The Haunting of Molly Leigh (clearly Molly Crowe's long lost cousin)
I've not followed this development much but reading that line-up just sounds so bland. Where are the local legends? I assume Molly Leigh is something local, but as pointed out it sounds just like anouther pre-existing scene.

Hex as a stand-alone story is a better homage to local legends than this whole attraction.

Hard pass for me. I can do all of this at the London Dungeons, it's closer and doesn't come with an additional fee.

Not going to lie, this looks like an absolutely appalling effort. Absolutely terrible.

It would have literally looked better if they just removed the pipework off of the front of the factory and painted the walls to look like grey brickwork. That would have actually looked better than whatever that is. Infact I think covering those wooden poles with huge Dungeons advertising scrims would still be a major improvement.
