How Busy?

Went last year in the week around this time and was very quiet. I got 4 goes on Wickerman and plenty of other rides. You shouldn't have too many problems.
 
Hi guys I'm looking at visiting on either Sunday the 9th of June or Monday the 10th. The park is open an hour longer on the Sunday but I'm guessing it'll be quieter on the Monday which would you recommend?

Monday is a school day so should be quieter. If you want to get on more rides I'd go then. :)

Definitely Monday, may be less hours, but what you will lose in opening hours you will gain greatly by queuing less.
 
Any ideas what it might be like this coming Friday? (24th). I am considering a trip...
 
I thought the reasoning behind this upcoming half term was because it is Whitson week. Which is next week? I know this end of Staffordshire it's half term next week. Although that may vary from place to place.

According to the Internet, Stoke schools break up from next week too, 27th.

Apologies, yeah half term is next week. Just checked. :oops: You should be fine this Friday. :)
 
Lots of schools will use this Friday as a training day however due to GCSE exams, lots of local senior schools and sixth forms are already finishing.

Should be quieter than of previous weeks, however some schools might still be off until later on in the week (due to teachers training days etc...). Universities and colleges may also be still off for another week or two

The queue time site is only a crowd forecast not a promise o_O With the park being closed Mon to Wednesday, this will force more people to visit the park all at once on the remaining opening days

I know it's only an estimate, but the whole reason for my group planning to go the week after the summer hols is because we thoght it should be quiet. :tearsofjoy:

Being the organiser, I'm worried about letting people down when we arrive and find it's busy. :(
 
The park now has very few days that are quiet.
Fifty quid season passes, weekday closures and a lack of flats means the days of multi coaster walk ons are long gone I'm afraid...
Pleasure Beach however, will be pretty dead most Wednesdays and Thursdays for the next few weeks.
Hopefully.
 
Going Scarefest for the first time on Mon 21st October. How busy can we expect it to be, and will the mazes mean that ride queues will be shorter?
 
Hi all, first time poster (lurked for ages though :))

My lad loves all things Alton Towers and to be honest all things theme parks. As its his 13 birthday in a few weeks I hit on the idea of taking him to Scarefest as we've never done that before.

Looking to book up for two nights from Thursday 17October, first day on park the Thursday.

Thinking is that park may not be so busy on the Thursday as it not a scarefest date, which will let us get plenty rides in?

Defo looking at getting fast tracks for the Friday though as I imagine it will be busier? Will it be busier through the day or in the evening though as we've never been to Scarefest like I said?

Sound like a plan or is the Thursday likely to be busy?

Any thoughts appreciated!
