How would this surf coaster work? All I can picture is a stand up coaster sideways but maybe that’s too literal and partly 90s.

there is an image of it somewhere on the internet - not sure it’s even a thing but it’s logical that wardley said he was working on a worlds first with b&m which wasn’t ready. Not they file this. Merlin like worlds firsts....

more maybe we will get a glorified caterpillar coaster. Who knows? Just speculating

Would love to see a Mac Extreme Spinner. Could even go for something sir alganon themed and rip off time traveler for themeing.

Definitely not to my liking, particularly for a coaster. I don't find them re-rideable after you've done them once. I want to be subjected to calculated G's depending where I sit on a coaster. These spinner coasters send everything all over the place, there's no consistency.

The only Extreme Spinner (aka spinning mac multi launch) is Time Traveler at Silver Dollar City. Have you ridden it to make a fair judgement there?

Is the dark forest clearing where thirteen went? If not then that’s a huge space! Didn’t realise that where magic carpet was

No, it's still used as a picnic area (though only has about 4 tables). Rita does run above the edge of it though.

You can get to that area either by continuing left past the 13 entrance, or taking a left from just before where you go through the tunnel towards towers, after the refresh kiosk.

Depending on how much of the grassy area they can use, and how many more trees they can remove, it could make a good site.

The theme in the area is already weak in places (painted ug rocks, Rita, the fact there are no trees, scaffold tunnel), so it would be nice to revitalise it.

ah o know where you mean now... Ages since I’ve ventured to that area. There certainly is some space there and if Rita was removed you would have significant room for a coaster

Would love to see Rita replaced by a launched S&S Axis. Merlin love gimmicks and world's first and the world's first Axis would be a great USP

If Rita is replaced it has to surely be replaced by something with a higher capacity. This, whilst it looks interesting and certainly unique, would simply be something that would attract enormous queues as surely its throughput is fairly low?

They have said that actual park models would have longer trains, and I'm sure they would be able to run at least two.

Could do a Maverick and go multiple blocks with three trains+ as that ride only seats 12 per train. S&S also is suggesting loading them in the inverted orientation for faster loading

LOVE this idea! Could even keep in with the dark forest theme and use a story such as the coaster has been overtaken by the dark forest after a storm and causing the 'branches' (riders) to be swung about mercilessly. Great mix of famiyl and thrill in the area then as Rita personally does absolutely nothing for me, especially after riding the likes of Taron (how a launch coaster SHOULD be, although I know it is a different style of launch).

The whole Dark Forest area needs a new lease of life and a new ride would certainly give it that, especially if they could add in a small flat too, even if it's just something small like a chair swing again or that Nebulaz ride Zamperla have been premiering at IAAPA? That could easily be themed to the Dark Forest I think!

Rita is a good launch.... oh, and then we are back at the station.
Its the start of a decent ride, but that isn't enough when the wait is generally 1/2 an hour.
13 is a much better package. It isn't the worlds best coaster, but it does reward you for the queuing.

The S&S axis could work well with 13, as long as they can keep the height low enough.

S&S are the kings of launches with Do-Dodonpa being the fastest acceleration on a coaster. An air power axis could still have a wonderful launch and a far more interesting layout than Rita swinging around the dark forest

Would much prefer them to follow the decision they made with Wicker Man in going for something tried and tested, but still unique to the UK.

By all means they should consider axis for a future installation but let other parks have to deal with all the teething options and bare minimum layouts.
