I've not seen much flouting around Congleton either, which is good. Still have the odd person trying to buy stuff from the shop at the petrol station when there are two signs blocking the door saying that the only things we're able to sell until further notice are fuel and tobacco products (including e-cigs, of course). We've also had the odd customer trying it on repeatedly when we've said no. Annoying, but what else can we do?

those poor buggers stuck in their 1 bed flat, going out for an hour to get some air and prevent lockdown fever being named and shamed and fined for doing it

I've seen two groups of youths out within the past week, apart from that all singletons going for their daily walks. Police have set up a few road blocks the past week too so I wonder whether that has had an effect on the roads which have become gradually quieter each day on my commutes.

The data from the government briefing today seems to suggest the large majority are complying. So all a step in the right direction.

It's the waiting game now.

I can definitely see people in cities and larger towns struggling more with lockdown than rural areas. I've mostly seen people following the rules here, but have heard from the mother-in-law that some people near her think it's all a conspiracy!

Here in Kent it's been a mixed bag, some days you'll see tons of people still walking or on the road, others there's hardly anyone. I'm only going supermarkets weekly when possible but they're rammed with people waiting to enter. Tesco seems particularly ridiculous for some reason.

I'm trying to only go shopping once a week now after I finish work on a Saturday. To be fair, I've usually done some shopping on a Saturday after work for ages, so this isn't much of a change. I'm making the decision to queue like a normal customer unless I'm told I don't have to because the place where I do my main shopping is also the store I work in. I don't want special treatment unless I'm told I can have it.

I would take it as a perk of the job that you're still turning up to whilst almost everyone else gets paid to sit in the garden at home drinking booze. I just clock out, do my shopping and then go home. They can suck my stump if they think I'm gonna finish work and then go outside to queue for half an hour. You're clearly not as much of a bitter and broken person as me though.

You working as a key worker take all the perks you can get I say.

We live on a street that connects one estate to another and there's the shop that covers both estates just by our house, so we've seen all sorts. My personal highlight was six men walking past with no shirts on passing a bottle of beer around between them. It makes me so cross because one of my best friends has just had to miss out on her grandad's funeral because of social distancing rules, yet there's idiots like that walking around!

I think since Boris went into Intensive Care people have been taking things a bit more seriously. The last few days the streets have been dead round here.

We went to my Grandads funeral yesterday and it was limited to 8 people and we all had to sit apart. It was actually a much nicer service than expected but it was tough not being able to go anywhere near other family members before and after.

Yeah, and quite possibly getting paid 80% of any wages they might be on by the taxpayer (me) who is still having to go to work and will also be being stung again when we have to pay for all this for the next 50 years, and I've had zero benefit out of all this. Not that I'm bitter about it at all. I mean, if you're getting paid to stay at home unless absolutely necessary to go out (or for exercise) then the least people can do is actually stay at bloody home and count their free money! Again, not that I'm bitter or anything ;)

I'm so sorry for your loss and sorry for the circumstances. Thoughts are with you and your family.

IanSR Vs Pluk live footage ;)...

Cba watching all of it but I'm raging at this selfish moron. Maybe next time she's out arguing with the police she will contract the virus and see how serious this situation really is.

I'm not watching for free what I get paid to put up with at work!

Let me guess, someone knows better? Thinks the rules don't apply to them? It goes badly for them? They still think they are right so post the footage up so everyone can laugh at them?

For those who don't fancy watching the video the basic description is

Someone thinking mental exercise is a good reason for sitting on a park bench for a couple of hours. And them and the officer disagreeing over that fact.
