While social distancing and limited capacity in place I have no interest or desire to go to a theme park this year. Most parks are around a 300 mile round trip and for me personally I wouldn’t get the enjoyment like I normally would so it isn’t worth it the year.

As we're down south the first full week in July we decided yesterday to book an overnight at the enchanted village for Tuesday 7th - Wednesday 8th.

Hoping with reduced capacity on the rides it'll be ok for a decent day out but fully expecting it not to be quite the usual experience.

We hadn't planned to go to any parks this year but then the big kid in me took over yesterday :D.....

That siad I do think it's good to support somewhere like AT that has given our family so much enjoyment over the years, we've never had a bad day out and this is maybe just a little bit of giving them something back by supporting them so they can be there for another 40 years to entertain people and give great family memories.

Cant wait to go now :)

Well, it looks like we might finally be getting a CD of Alton Towers music!

Well get in! Granted I've already listened to the full soundtrack of the smiler, galactica and wicker man but it'd be good for everyone to get the opportunity now to listen to those soundtracks in full. It's also another way of Merlin getting cash ay!

I'm curious how there are some full length versions on YouTube. It makes you wonder where they got them from. If Alton Towers release an official CD then perhaps they will serve a takedown notice on those channels for copyright infringement.

In the case of one of the Galactica soundtracks someone stood next to a speaker near rcr recording it (they mentioned in comments)

There has been a rumour for a towers CD for years now, ever since Thorpe released theirs, so will be nice if we do finally get one.

Old people still buy cd's,from shops, a lot.
I've noticed the average age in HMV in Blackpool has gone from about 25 to 55 in about a decade.
I have yet to purchase or stream music online.
Sorry if I wasnt clear.

Apologies that was my failed attempted at sarcasm ;).

I’m sure plenty of people do by CD’s but just not sure how many of that demographic would want an IMAScore one of Alton Towers soundtracks!

More people will listen to it if they release it to streaming services. Hopefully that would happen at the same time as a physical release. And how about a Vinyl version too? :D

Does anyone actually buy CDs anymore?

They have taken so long to getting round to releasing one that they have pretty much become obsolete.
I buy CDs for the same reason as buying Blu-rays - I'm buying something so I want something physical to show for it, not just an electronic file. Also, no-one can take them away from me when something suddenly becomes racist or offensive overnight - like Little Britain/Come Fly With Me/Faulty Towers. If they're on streaming services, you're at the mercy of the streaming company and their policies. If they deem it right to remove something, they will regardless of their subscribers views on the subject.
