What changes to operations should we expect post Covid-19?

So no point in the local lockdown then if nothing is policed or any action taken. Just let the virus spread!
The only way I see local lockdowns working involves transport companies and police working together and there's only one place I can think off where that happens.

You police it in the area it’s happening in. Basically don’t let the infected people leave.

Wales have had a rule all along where you aren’t supposed to go more than five miles from home and they were policing it a lot close to the English border to try and limit movement.

It just amazes me the news. Yesterday on radio 1st headline; as of 6th July travel restrictions will be relaxed with British embassy advice on only essential travel allowed being lifted and quarantine rules relaxed for European countries.
Headline 2 ; covid infections on the rise across Europe and some American states.

So guys after the relaxation of lockdown so far cases have started to rise in certain areas. This morning home secretary has announced that Leicester might have to consider local lockdown eventhough the metropolitan mayor is dragging his feet. If this local lockdown was enforced do merlin stop anyone with a LE postcode from entry? I know it sounds crazy but if cases rise matt Hancock has said local lock down is the answer like in Germany so how are merlin going to deal with that scenario?

By the sounds of it, any lockdown in Leicester will not be a full lockdown like what we had at the start of all of this. And LE postcodes cover the whole of Leicestershire, not just the city of Leicester. I don't think Alton Towers are going to be banning people from certain postcodes at this stage.

Trying to ban guests from certain postcode areas will be impossible, as it relies on guests being honest about where they are from. (Not unlike the 14 day quarantine when arriving back in the UK / having to give names & contact numbers to staff in pubs from Saturday). Details can easily be fabricated & unless you give our name as Mickey Mouse, with an address of Buckingham Palace, no-one will be any the wiser. NB: I do not condone this, but the system is flawed by design.

Add to that the fact that Leicester is well known for having an extremely diverse ethnic population. Being seen to discriminate against such people is a very touchy subject at present due to BLM.

And if they decide to lockdown Leicestershire then le post codes won't so as some places like EMA are Leicestershire with a DE postcode.

Apparently if Leicester gets locked down it just means the cinemas, pubs, restaurants and hair dressers will have to remain closed longer than other areas.

That's all well and good, but it may encourage those in Leicester to travel outwith the city to go to the cinema or get their hair done

Unless the transport is suspended/reduced and people (except key workers obvs) are ordered to remain at home. ;)

Thats not what news has just said?? Do you have a different news outlet?? Non essential shops to remain closed and no time declared for relaxation. Is that only a partial lockdown?

I don't think Alton Towers really needs to become a pedestrianised version of the Aston expressway, though it's possible they could install keep left/right signs as seen in other public areas
