Thorpe Park: General Discussion

The big difference with a flat ride/kids rides you can monitor the queueline as it’s in a small area but it’s hard to control queues on coasters unless it all covered by CCTV as like on Shawn vlog last week groups of teens were standing together chatting. I think like Shops in queue lines and inside buildings all masks should be worn at all times and if you refuse then you are removed from the park

Yeah I was going to say that, Efteling are also asking guests to check their own restraints.
 
Let’s not forget what happened last time they started letting things slide, in over 10 years of going to parks I’ve only not had my harness checked once.
 
Appears someone may have been stabbed and no one can currently leave the park.

(This is according to Twitter, so you know take it with a pinch of salt).



 
Someone's been stabbed and the entrance / exit is a scene, so noone can get out. They'll work out another exit route soon enough...
 
Oh dear, this isn’t good at all, and is quite major. If one of the tweets above is anything to go by, then at least 3 people could have been injured, and I’m hearing that the park has been locked down because the police are searching for a weapon by the bridge area.

Not good news... I hope those injured make a speedy recovery.
 
Makes a complete mockery of security checks if the weapon got beyond the security check - you either check everyone or what’s the point

If it's happened at the entrance as it sounds I'm not sure that has much relevance.

Sounds like they've opened all the rides back up while everyone's stuck. Not a bad day to be there if you manage not to get stabbed.

It's reported there's two seperate stabbings, one on the bridge and another in the carpark.

I heard that there may even have been 3; one of the tweets above suggests 3 people are either being treated by paramedics or lying on the floor.

Nasty.

Sounds very possible to me that the weapon would have come directly from a car rather than been taken in through security earlier in the day as some sort of security failure.
