Those who had a Clubcard which has expired since the start of the pandemic (after March 2020), are now offered a free admission each month.

:)

The EP website has been updated to advertise some new shows for this year in the Teatro in Italy and also the Globe in England, along with the new Snorri film in the Dreamdome.

Nothing as yet on the other venues such as jousting or the ice show. Let’s hope these return as the season progresses.

I was talking to someone who lives nearby last night who confirmed the capacity limit over the next few days. Its basically what CSLKenny said. 3,000 today as a sort of trial run. 10,000 tomorow onwards, slowly increasing.

A few other interesting things they mentioned:
- roughly 50,000 people tried booking tickets for today.
- as per local policy everyone entering has to have taken a rapid test that day (or it might have been within 24 hours). Apparently that's the case for any public atcitivity, including going to the shops.

This is all word of mouth info but interesting If correct.

The Ice show and Spanish Arena need more prep time should be open in about 2 weeks.

Entry requirements are that you must either:

- show a negative test from the last 24 hours
- show you’ve recovered from infection via a positive test more than 28 days old, or
- show you’ve been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days.

Yes exactly this.

For those who haven't had both doses of the vaccine, it means if you're staying on resort for more than one day then you'll need to take a test every day (Europa-Park recommend doing it in the evening rather than the morning). It costs €22.90. Sounds like a great way to suck the fun out of your stay to me.

Also face mask requirements are more strict than here. It needs to be a proper surgical mask or FFP2 mask.

"Which ride doesn't need any attention as it's perfectly fine as it is?".

Ah yes, the London Bus. Now sporting a new tour bus livery. Love it.

Looking forward to visiting, albeit just for the day, later this month. Obviously pre-booking is necessary, but how's the park holding up for a midweek visit? Hoping to utilise Virtual Line to get on everything major at least once. Can-Can Coaster and Pirates II are the new developments since my last visit, pleased to see they are on the system.

Anyone have any idea how long this testing requirement will be around? I'm supposed to be coming September 29th and I'm not vaccinated as I have already had COVID and I hope this requirement will be gone. Do we know what parameters the German government set for getting rid of the testing?

If not, I will just have to budget for these tests... :(

In a few parks in Germany the test requirement is already gone due to low local numbers. Heide Park's was removed at a 7-day incidence number of 14. Currently the area where EP is has 22. Of course local gov/state has the final say when but I would imagine it is gone come July.

Thanks! I hope that by the fall all of Europe is doing much better and we can move past testing, masking & social distancing.

It's been announced on the Europa Park Instagram page that a new film for Alpenexpress Coastiality has been made, this time themed to Madame Freudenreich... because of course it is.

Quite a few of their stuff has already been on there for a while.

But I honestly get confused with Spotify sometimes as to who actually uploads some songs. And why Klugheim's album is region locked.

There's an update on travel between amber list countries later today at 12:30 in the commons, so hopefully that'll clear the way to visit without arranging PCR tests too.

Don't forget you need 2 full weeks after your 2nd vaccination to be considered fully vaccinated too. We cancelled our trip for that reason, so just be aware of that if you have anything planned for Summer and haven't had your second jab. Got my fingers crossed for October now :).

Edit: Maybe not, it's later in the week now!
