Forbidden Valley: Future Changes?

I've just had a nose though the fence by the Galactica entrance on my way past, there is no noticeable activity around the site at the minute and no obvious changes. I lean towards storm damage.

If we do see some basic changes to Galactica, the portal structure bares a slight resemblance to the icon we saw earlier in the season. If I remember rightly this had something to do with 'seeking the truth' or the like. Maybe Galactica could become themed around this with the portal altered accordingly?

Yeah I’ve said that a few times. They are really similar aren’t they!

Although two vloggers, one of which is much more reliable than the other, have said that the Galactica portal is rumoured to be being repurposed for Project Horizon so make of that what you will.

Just stumbled across this video. Talk about a clickbait title (in case he changes it in the future, it is titled "The SHOCKING Truth: PHALANX Takeover of GALACTICA Revealed"). But it is immediately contradicted by the heading on the thumbnail image!! I endured watched this video and not once did he mention anything concrete that was definitely happening with Galactica; it was all hypothetical theories and rumours about it and Forbidden Valley - which was expected as nothing concrete is known about any of it.

Why do YouTubers do this? (rhetorical question I do know why they do it!). Do they not realise that it could do damage to their channel and gain them a bad reputation as being untrustworthy for reporting information? I thought the UK theme park channels were generally above this blatant clickbaiting, obviously not in some cases.

Question, regarding the recent image of Nemesis from the air that shows the rest of FV, has there been any changes with Blade been noticed?

Suspect it'll be getting work done with it to blend in with the rest of the area.

Its a new shop, the plans of what is coming is somewhere in this thread.

Just looked (to me) like in the plans they were adding windows and a small extension, not demolishing and starting again.

The same as the Edge arcade the Ripsaw cafe was actually clad portakabins. The half they are keeping is for back of house but the shop will be a new replacement building.

Any thoughts/suggestions/rumours on what will happen with the abandoned Galactica shop? I know the main suggestion will be 'nothing'. But with a new shop going up in FV not far away, which according to the plans will include a Freestyle station - meaning the existing Freestyle station opposite the RCR/Galacitca shop will likely be re-purposed for something else it suggests they are trying to maximise the use of the spaces in FV for 2024.

With there being an existing building sat there ready to be used it would be a shame for it to stay as a glorified corridor given the increased footfall in this part of the park next year.

TPWW's latest Nemesis Construction update appears to show more changes across the rest of Forbidden Valley. A brief summary to follow;

- The Nemesis gun appears to have been taken out and replaced with something else.
- The Observation Platform has now been removed.
- The Phalanx truck adjacent to Sub Terra has been covered over.

Still no changes to The Edge games although I'd imagine once planning has been approved (not sure if it has already), progress on this will pick up.

And just to add, the exit ramp has indeed been extended to the old SRQ door...

I had kind of hoped that they wouldn’t have anything batching from the wrong side of the station, but it would be an improvement compared to before if RAP utilised the previous SRQ. That way, you would at least not need to squeeze past the folks in the RAP queue when exiting the ride, and by the same token, the folks in the RAP queue wouldn’t need to put up with people exiting the ride and having to squeeze past them.

An SRQ returning would be great for me personally, but it would lower the throughput of the ride due to it being on the wrong side of the station. With this in mind, I’d prefer that they focused on getting the highest throughput possible as opposed to bringing the SRQ back.
