Nemesis Reborn: General Discussion

Blimey!! So I wasn't seeing things!!

Back when I went to Towers in October, I couldn't tell if what I saw was real or due to the lighting, but I saw some cracks in the new legs on Nemesis. Since no one else brought it up until now, I thought it was just me.

Well, well, well... not cracks, but yeah. Looks like a hatch for maintenance.

That’s where John Wardley stores his Sharpie pens.

That’s not a crack, it’s a panel, if you look closely you can see the screws and the square panel. I assume it’s either for access inside, or was used when they added the new legs to the existing legs.

I managed three rides on it yesterday and the first one at around 1pm was quite bad.

That rumble was present throughout, and it felt like it had worsened from what I remember in 2024.

The other two rides were once it got dark, and felt like a massive improvement. Rapid, forceful and with a slight vibration but really enjoyable.

The two late rides were on different trains so it’s not that… maybe it just needs time to warm up? I’ve noticed the same with quite a few major coasters including VelociCoaster and Ride to Happiness.

It's disappointing they haven't been able to get to the bottom of it during the closed season, considering this was something they identified at the start of last season.

Just been on Reborn a couple of times today, there is a noticeable rattle that wasn’t there before throughout the ride, but the jolts from the old Nemesis are gone. I’m not particularly bothered by it and it’s not as notable as on The Smiler.

Overheard a lot of comments from the public on those trains making comments too, but then again I also find Infusion very tolerable.

it appears to be a wider B&M issue affecting multiple new rides, so they may be unable to do anything until B&M has a fix (e.g it may be a changing of tollerance from a bearing manurfacture, and B&M needs to fit new bearings)

I had 2 rides today, on both trains, rows 1 and 3, didn’t think the rattle was noticeable at all. Maybe it’s because I was on the front half of the train both times
Since my last post, I had a night ride on Nemesis front row and the rattle wasn’t an issue at all, glass smooth. Might be an issue with just the one train or certain rows.

I know this has been discussed to death, but the few rides I've managed so far have been predominantly on train 2, and my first ride of the season this year was absolutely horrific for vibration (row 6 I think), the whole way around and it was making my teeth hurt. Much, much worse than last year... however, it was also on-par speed/force-wise as my last ride of the season on it, which was incredible.

Seems better when it's warmed up, and train 1 doesn't seem much different (bumpy in places but overall not bad) and on either train it's still easily my favourite coaster to ride.
