Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I'm nostalgic for minecraft so I'm looking forward to this new land if it is themed to the game but how much longer will the brand be relevant for after the film releases? Also I think it's a pity that Chessington is going down the IP route because if play is Paw patrol like I've been hearing there'll be 3 IP land plus the Gruffao attractions and Elmer.
I remember seeing that Elmer's Flying Jumbos was a 4 year agreement.

This looks to have been renewed but I'd imagine it might not be something that will stick around long term due to the age of the ride.

I was surprised that a like for like replacement wasn't part of Project Play but I'd say it could very well come eventually.

To be fair, Iā€™m glad theyā€™re keeping all the IPā€™s at mainly one park. At least itā€™s consistent and you know what youā€™re going for. Itā€™ll be a good family park for This, it will help to still draw people in when universal is built. Iā€™m happy theyā€™re moving away from the animals more and more their business model does make sense. Universal is all IPs and it works.

Minecraft like Jumanji will go on for centuries theyā€™re picking smarter IPS so I donā€™t think they have to worry for a very long time.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Ghostbusters used at Chessington at some point considering this would fit as a dark ride there.

I believe this is already used at Heide Park.

I believe universal have now got the rights for Ghost Busters again- not sure if that extends out side of the US though. Itā€™s rumoured that universal are working on a ghost busters attraction/ride for the Orlando studios park to replace rip ride rocket. Canā€™t see it being an IP added to Chessington.

The improvements to Zufari look much better. When did they add the wires to the giraffe enclosure though?! They definitely didnā€™t always have them as the giraffes have come right up to the truck before. They now look so restricted!

We had a good day there today. The queue for Ostrich Stampede moves soooo slowly due to one member of staff though. ā€œThereā€™s no way this queue is 35 minutesā€¦ā€

isn't the giraffe house the opposite side of zufari, so are they trapped in the giraffe house, or in the field side?

I would say if this is a temporary thing, it could be due to something happening with the animals, for instance I went to Disney their version of zufari they had sheeting up around the elephants to prevent them going in places because they had recently had a baby I think, and it was to protect the child whilst it learned where it could and couldn't go (or something like that).

That's interesting; do you know what the other two forbidden questions were?

Do you know where it was stated that they weren't allowed to ask certain questions?
I'm presuming they were the contentious questions that enthusiasts want to ask such as the ride model, capacity etc.

I didn't realise that parks were reluctant to answer questions about the ride's statistics - especially as some of that information will eventually find its way to Wikipedia and the like, anyway!

The only 'off limits' question that I can specifically remember hearing was when Bradley Wynne from Merlin stated in his 2018 Wicker Man "Meet the maker" interview that he wasn't allowed to mention which film IP had been considered for the ride, prior to Alton Towers creating their own name and theme instead.

Which was?

To elaborate, I meant why did they go for the B&M wing coaster and why it was a shuttle coaster? That was probably what they weren't keen on answering.
