Lightwater Valley

It's usually at Wonder Garden Riyadh, but that seems to have been canned with Beast Land happening. That event ends today, so not sure if there will be a Wonder Garden or not this winter.

I don't know Mellors line up well enough, if it was to launch their tenure of LWV with 4-5 rides they own, what might that look like?

Do all the rides get shipped back to the UK once the Saudi events finish, or stored over there? It’s currently open in Jeddah.
It's been in the Middle East for a decade or so AIUI. Only had a relatively brief run on the UK circuit, did one Goose Fair then a season of the 'Funderworld' setups then reappeared out there. I could be wrong but I don't think it's been in the UK since it was shipped out there.

Was thinking about the impact that Universal is going to have on the industry, and who precisely will be hit by it, and wonder if there is opportunity for the likes of LWV and paultons to play the mid market while Universal clobber the debt ridden and neglected Merlin estate.

Was at winter wonderland over Christmas and there is definitely an appetite for a funfair, so wonder if going forward the more fleet of foot operators like mellors can make the opportunity count more than the legacy ridden parks, in the same way modern theme parks obliterated the seaside parks?

Apparently Eagles Claw is still on site so possibility for that to return.

Do we know where Black Pearl has gone or Whirlwind both of those back would be nice

That would be fantastic if it did return with a major refurbishment

With regards to Whirlwind, this is now at Barry Island however they do own a Top Scan that was at Fantasy Island which travels around the UAE.

Black Pearl's location is unknown.

This is amazing news!! I wonder if we will see the return of some older thrill rides such as Black Pearl and Eagle's Claw and even additions such as a new looping coaster. An Schwarzkopf would be the dream!!

If I remember Black Pearl might of been sold to a showmen, possibly Martin Mejier. I think it was carefully removed from the site during the 2021-2022 offseason.

It does sound like an easy win, although if they've removed it but not sold it, does that mean there might have been some kind of issue that wouldn't have been cheap to repair?
There is a possibility that there may not have been something wrong with it that couldn't have been maintained, fixed or refurbished.

It's likely to have been part of the park's management at the time wanting to bring something in that is better suited for younger children and Eagle's Claw stood out.

If that was the case though they'd surely have sold it rather than leaving it sat around with no plan to do anything with it.
