Sir Tom Finney, one of England's greatest ever footballers, has sadly passed away. Obviously I never got to see him play but my grandad, who has always been a big Blackpool supporter, regards him as the best player he ever saw play.

I don't really like how they were being praised for keeping out Barca with 10 men for 40 minutes (excluding the penalty). Try going down to 10 men, at the Nou Camp, before half time, then going 1-0 down and winning the game 2-1.
 
So we have the Euro 2016 qualifying draw results. (Note that France, despite having automatically qualified as hosts, will be playing friendlies in Group I, and results from those matches won't count towards the final table, which is frankly bizarre.)

I think England stand a good chance of going through, but Scotland have a rather nasty group ahead of them, with Germany and Poland to face.
 
Typical, England get it easy while we, the Scots, have a tough one with the Germans and Irish ::)
 
Ah well, England will still go out in the group stage of the finals. The easy group is compensation for when they go home from the world cup with 0 points and 0 goals.

GO AWAY, every week is the same, we barley win, and any victories are us scraping through, not winning by two or three goals, then we managed to beat teams in the top 6 one week and then the next were loosing to teams below us, we need to improve our defence, we need to improve our tactics and most importantly we need a better manager #HughtonOut.
 
Just Driving past the AT junction on the A50 on the way back from old Trafford and then I thought; next week will be better. :) the best team won today though no doubt. My favourite moment was when cleverly came on to 'change the game'. Never heard a collective groan like it.
 
Well it may be a season to forget, but tonight was much more like United. Not confident about the quarters at all but you never know, Chelsea somehow managed it in 2012.
 
Well, the Champions League quarter-final draw has just been made, and is as follows.

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid
Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund
Paris Saint-Germain v Chelsea
Manchester United v Bayern Munich

I think it's safe to say that United are going out here, and Barcelona and Real Madrid will probably be joining Bayern Munich in the semis. As for PSG and Chelsea, I don't know which way that'll go.
 
is it me or do barcelona always seem to pull out the weaker teams in the early draws? considering bayern munich last lost a league game was 28th october 2012, i can't really see a mediocre team like manchester united (lol) overcoming a power horse like munich!

Atletico Madrid are above Barcelona in La Liga, I'm not sure I'd class them as a weaker team!
