Tst South: 14-15 June 2014

I'll arrive fairly late on Friday night, driving down from Southport straight after work. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone!

Also looking forward to visiting Chessie with seasoned pros. I've only been once, for a couple of hours, and really wasn't keen. I'm eager to do it properly. If anyone would be able to give me a lift to and from the Ibis and Chessington on Saturday, I'd be really grateful for it.

Absolutely cannot wait to watch the England match with friends on Saturday evening!

I'm unlikely to do Thorpe on Sunday. On my most recent visit there really wasn't much that I enjoyed, and it's a long drive home so I'll probably just head off, although I may be tempted by a quick ride on The Swarm.

See you all there! :)

Well I'm stopping the two nights now and looking forward to it. Hoping the weather is good.

Really wish I could do this but I am going away on a residential with a bunch of Year 3 and 4s on the Sunday and I will need Saturday as a last day of rest before the non-stop 4 days of late nights, early mornings, homesickness and fall outs!

So having never met you fine people in real life can someone clue me in on how i am going to reconize you i imagine there will be a lot of people there tomorrow?

Four words: 'Send in the bulldozers'

But seriously, Thorpe was great today. Really enjoyed the 4x re-rides on Colossus right at the end of the day. Very entertaining day overall, just gutted I couldn't do Chessington yesterday.

It was a super weekend. Too many highlights but I have to say being based at Beaconsfield was great. Although it was slightly further for the two parks (CWOA 40 min, TP 20 min) - the savings on parking (would have cost £15 per car at T5) and the proximity to McDonald's, Starbucks, Wetherspoons etc. was great. I will definitely be suggesting the same in 2015 - especially as Nando's will also be opening there soon!

Not had chance to post in here yet, but thanks to everyone for a fantastic weekend :). The accommodation choice was admittedly a strange one, but seemed to work extremely well so thanks to Dan for making the switch. Lots more to do compared to our usual haunt at T5. Chilling outside with drinks until well past midnight, you quickly forgot you were even in a service station. The staff at Spoons were ridiculously friendly too!

Both parks were relatively quiet, Chessington had a few long queues but nothing major. Thorpe during the morning was fantastic, with a huge chunk of the park done pretty quickly. Overall a much needed weekend away, and a great time catching up with everyone :).

had a fantastic weekend with you all highlights for me where stealth and Thorpe park in genral with x being something of a suprise in how much i enjoyed it really looking forward to the next one

I had a great weekend met some new friendly people and had a great time even though i was feeling a bit unwell sunday morning and didnt go on a few rides at thorpe that i would have more than likely enjoyed including saw, oh well there will be plenty more opportunities in the future, chessington was great although vampire was a long queue for what i'd describe as a very rough ride, cant see me goin on it in the future unless its a short (<10mins) queue other than that it was one of the best weekends ive had in a long time and I'd like to say thanks again to everyone for a great well organised weekend

Really enjoyed this meet! Shame I had to leave Thorpe early as I wasn't feeling well. But I had a fun time regardless =) Was great seeing everyone again and shall see you no later than August!

Well i'm a bit late to this thread, but I have been away in Europe :p

Anyway I had a really good meet, the two nights were fun and it made a change having a proper bar compared to the usual Travelodge bar, and Chessie was also good (well as good as it can be anyway :p). I look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
