The "I feel a bit MEH" topic

It's pretty horrible. I'm very lucky though.

I can get very stuck in a rut at times, and it's a downward spiral. My friends on here help so much. There are so many people having similar experiences and it just helps so much to have people who understand.

My heart is still racing etc, but I don't exactly feel down. Which is an improvement.

Last time I had one of the funny turns I happened to have my mum's BM (blood glucose monitor) as she was visiting me. I had a reading of 3.4 which is apparently really low and she thought it might be a hypoglycemic attack and/or some kind of 'stress comedown' response. I find it happens a lot when I've been travelling, kind of like a migraine or cold that starts on the first day of a holiday.

Anyway I get the nasty symptoms you're describing. I know what it feels like. I just pace around the house and phone someone (if anyone is awake - I kept my mum up til 5am on the phone to her on AT opening day, wandering round Splash Landings like a drunkard!). Back in the day if I was away from home I'd text 'AQA' just for some human contact.

It sounds like you have people around when it happens, but if you ever need a random person just to text crap to if you're away from a computer, let me know and I'll help out. Cheaper than Any Question Answered :p

today i went to minor injuries unit, as my back is more sore and painfulk than i expected after falling into a hole when the personnel access cover (manhole cover) moved.

I have deep tissue damage, and they are not sure if i got a hairline fracture of a rib.
This will take 7 to 9 weeks to heal, and i need to be careful on what i do. So no AT visits for about 2 months :'(

Awww, that sounds really painful delta79, :( hope you get better soon. Hopefully you will be back and riding Nemesis in no time ;)

Thanks SomeCrazyPerson. I was wonder if i should joke and put it in the i feel down, as i was looking up at everything :D

An old rugby injury playing up again. :L My right shoulder and arm just start aching randomly during the day and its quite painful to move it occasionally.

Sorry for re-booting an old topic. But, I've got 3 more karaokes left. I don't feel happy but I'm not feeling down... :(

My last karaoke was...GOLDDDDDD.

ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOUR SOULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

I have been offered a postion in a volunteer organisation that will see in being in the firework control centre. Down side is i may not bbe able to enjoy the fireworks with my daughter this year.

Left year 9 today, so that's another year over, a good thing, only 2 more years left! However the next two years are going to be the longest, and hardest, not helped by the fact I feel like an human test for the new GCSE's, as well as the logic in changing them to be similar to the rest of Europe, despite us possibly leaving the EU. Made worse by them changing the numbers around so instead of having 1 at the top, and 9 at the bottom like the rest of Europe, 1 is the bottom and 9 is the top.. It'll end up being confusing if I end up working abroad "Oh yeah i did great in Physics, got an 8!" to much confusion :p

All in all, school is a bit Meh.

You'll be fine, I flunked my GCSE's and I've just finished Uni and have a degree (subject to confirmation) :p

Good luck in the exams. The ones now are hard enough, and now you have to remember all the equations and books and everything. I've nearly finished mine (two more: history Tuesday, and product design the Monday after). Not been too bad, a few difficult ones but overall alright. Hope they're not too hard for you but I think you'll do alright :)

Just been out to a work mate's BBQ with Hils. Was nice to go, even if we were "fashionably late"... Which when dealing with work peeps and their families means we missed most people! :D Didn't stay long but it was nice to show face...

... Sadly Kelpie is a bit under the weather at the moment, AND she was driving us back, so as said we didn't stay too long. Poor lass, I hope she feels better soon. One of those "I really wish there was some way I could make her feel less poorly" things you get with yer partner. :(

Hi guys. Sorry to bump an old thread, but I wasn't sure where to put this. I was told earlier today that we likely won't be visiting Thorpe in 2017, so I decided to think of my 2017 in summary (theme parks wise) and... I'm not sure whether to feel happy or sad about my 2017 in theme parks, considering we went to Florida last year. So, here it is:
My 2017 in Summary:
  • Theme Parks Visited: 2 (Alton Towers, LEGOLAND Windsor)
  • New Theme Parks Visited: 0
  • Roller Coasters Ridden: 8
  • New Roller Coasters Ridden: 1 (Dragon (LEGOLAND Windsor))
  • Days Spent In A Theme Park: 3
Here is my 2016 in Summary by comparison:
  • Theme Parks Visited: 6 (Alton Towers, Oakwood, Universal Studios Florida, Universal IOA, SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa)
  • New Theme Parks Visited: 3 (SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa, Oakwood)
  • Roller Coasters Ridden: 27
  • New Roller Coasters Ridden: 12
  • Days Spent In A Theme Park: 9
Bear in mind that I visited Oakwood with school and not with my family (we actually went to Pembrokeshire that summer and my parents wouldn't let me visit.) Also, I know that my 2016 summary looks rather bleak compared to what all of yours probably look like, but trust me, in my family, these sort of 2016 stats are like winning the Lottery. My parents said that they were "all theme parked out" after the 2016 we had. Furthermore, I did visit SeaWorld and Oakwood before, but this was before I became an enthusiast, so I don't count them as revisited parks.

@Matt N You'll get more opportunities to visit different theme parks the older you get. Because you'd have more independence from your family and can choose to go where you'd like! For instance in 2013 I got only 2 new creds, whilst in 2016, I got over 20 :p

Us sad old addicts...
I go a week without a coaster and I get twitchy.
Just remember to keep it up into old age you young uns, a bad back and dodgy knees is never an excuse.
