AC on Sky Ride can be done but would it be correct use of limited funds or even cost effective for the limited hot days we have.

The problem with skyride AC is (probably) not providing enough power to run it between the stations in normal operation but to keep the gondolas cool in the event of an extended stoppage. If you want the air con to be running for an hour or more then providing power to do that is going to be difficult

Isn't there already a battery on board each gondola to power the speaker and emergency alarm?

Even Disney haven't done AC as a cost saving on their Skyliner ystem which is much more modern so I can see why towers haven't bothered. Disney have said that AC could be easily retrofitted if required though. Will be interested to see what the comfort levels are like in the florida heat...
I would think the draft coming though the cabin would just be warm

The park is screaming out for investment in many many areas. I don’t think adding air con to the Skyride to stop it closing on a small handful of days each season should be anywhere near the top of the priority list.
I think monorail is a far bigger issue than skyride at the moment. The throughput is just terrible!

Open last week. But didn’t open today at all.
IMO they should just open it with warning signs that it’ll be hot inside. If you pass out it’s your own stupid fault.
I think they don’t want to open it in case it breaks down and people are stuck for an hour or so.

Seems Disney have some sort of reflective glass on there System which is likely cooling related.
