No point in going if the bench isn't operating. They won't be getting my money...

Unless... a linear induction motor launched, hypersonic, vertical drop featuring log flume was installed as the parks next major investment. That might change my mind..

Can anyone comment on the rumours that the bench will be closing for a full retrack during the 2022 season?

Hopefully they will erect a temporary beanbag to reduce the capacity issues this might cause.

Rumours are circulating that it will be converted to a hybrid wooden/steel bench. Smoother on the bum but with less character.

Was told this morning by a ride-op 'friend' that it was going to be closed after this season and used for spare slats for a sister bench at Thorpe. Not sure how true that is though?!

Might be of interest to @Log Flume's Dennis, you can buy a calendar of benches. It doesn't feature the Alton Towers bench.

It would have to be Redditch wouldn’t it. For anyone local you’ll understand…..
