More likely to have been an external company than MMM - they drive the creative vision/theme, but the design of hardware etc. is usually outsourced.

Big assumption to make that the park has deliberately chosen not to work on it until now. Maybe there's a part needed that's not arrived yet or similar? Pretty sure the park would work to open it as soon as possible...

It really is an interesting part of the British psyche that means that, often, those who truly need reasonable adjustment feel more awkward/imposing to use it, whereas those that really don't will make damned sure they use it at every possible time.

Very true. Those who are tasked with maintaining them no doubt often pull their hair out at how cheaply and poorly things are constructed, and how difficult it is to maintain..!
