They never tend to announce anything interesting at the three annual press conferences that take place.

It'll literally be: here's what we're putting on for winter.

:D

Well the full report is online anyway at EPFans.

They at least confirming that Eden Palladium will be opening for the winter season 2012/2013. :)

Confirmed as new this year:

► The historical salon carousel "Eden Palladium"
► Daily Show "Russian Winter Magic" in the festively decorated "GAZPROM theme world - Energy Adventure"? with traditional Russian dance and live singing
► Advanced exhibition "VROOAR!" in the Mercedes-Benz Hall on Michel Vaillant
► 3D projection on the façade of the fjord restaurants in Scandinavian themed area and the Temple of Poseidon in Greek theme
► course was also the Bellevue Ferris again placed in Portuguese themed area

This is possibly my favourite bit in the entire summary, particularly since projection mapping is a gorgeous form of media art and Winter Efteling have used it in recent years. I look forward to seeing the videos!

The park is open again and so is Blue Fire! !!!

If I knew Europa was opened on my Birthday (today) then I would have gone :p

According to EPFans, Blue Fire can run over 0 degrees. This would appear to mean that the minimum operating temperature at which it can run has dropped by 5 degrees!

Perhaps they have made a modification or two!

:D

Or maybe it always could but they never tried testing it before?

They have definitely tested it before. Last April, it was not 0C but nor was it 5C, and they kept launching it on slower speeds causing roll backs before the temperature got up.

Wow, amazing new construction update posted on EP's Facebook!

I presume the model railway at Bell Rock is new then? And what on earth is Mirror Tent "Palace of Dreams"?! :D

Palace of Dreams is a confertainment venue in a traditional style.

A couple of days ago, Air Timers published a mini article on the history of Mack (how the company went from creating stage coaches to fairground attractions, then powered trains, then to big coasters and prototype rides before eventually opening Europa) which can be read here (assuming your browser can translate the page properly :p ).

:)

Interesting video from SICK Laser Systems work at Europa-Park, helping throughputs and maintenance.

Video

Not sure about the name SICK, but thats an interesting video, they really will have a true acount of the most popular rides, and times of the day when people use them, etc. Euorpa really do love their throughputs!

It certainly looks like a good system to help the park out.

Europa-Park have announced that they will extend the parks closing time by an hour on Saturday's and Sunday's during the winter season, and every day from Saturday, 22nd December until Sunday, 6th January 2013.

Traditionally, in winter, the park has opened at 11:00am and closed at 7:00pm. However, during the weekends and the main holiday period this year, they'll be open until 8:00pm - which is unprecendted for EP at this time of year. Great news, really! Roland Mack has said this will give guests more time to enjoy the park lit up in its magical night time form.

Hotel guests also get Early Ride Time on some of the rides from 10:00am.

Only if Roland mack was in charge of Alton towers it would be an amazing place. I really can't wait to visit the park :)

Just edited the post, as EP have actually decided to open till 8pm on Saturday's and Sunday's before the holidays, too.

So it's actually 8pm every weekend and then daily from 22nd December.

And yes, Josh - EP is amazing. Ahh!

:D

Europa's 8pm ride closes begin today - they've been sending a fair few promo emails out in order to spread the word, too.

It's warm, too - 15C in the coming days!
