There is a tunnel there already which they could use for staff to get to the other side of the road

It's not pedestrian friendly as it's not meant to be a pedestrian road. We only walk it for views of the coasters

There is a path which runs alongside and under that road through a tunnel which you can see very clearly on the image above.

I walked along it earlier this year. The odd thing is I nearly got run over while on it by some car that was driving on this footpath rather than the main road. Came out of nowhere.

Europa Park managed to get 4.5 million visitors last year! (I think, google translate is a bit dodgy!)

Of interest to me is the fact that "90% of visitors are repeat visitors" and that a quarter of their visitors are international!

Seems to show that when you have a good product and good hotels, people will come! Seems so easy!

Outstanding figures for 2012.

Europa-Park only ever seem to cement their reputation as Europe's most major park outside of Disney.

Fully deserved figures and I look forward to the next developments.

Lovely! It's great to see extra small projects for 2013.

So, to sum up - what we know already - the following will be advertised 'new' in 2013:

Enchanted Forest Phase 2:
To include six new fairytales through interactive buildings and animatronics. This expansion phase will be followed in 2014 with Phase 3 - the dark ride/coaster and family attractions:

Eden Palladium:
Recently restored original 1909 Salon Carousel. Fully complete for March 2013:

Magic Cinema 4D:
Completely themed interior, with new seating. Will fully complement the French theme area:

Park Main Entrance/Confertainment:
This new Confertainment facility will be adjacent to the theme park entrance plaza:

Additional for 2013:
Presumably new show programme, and various other refurbishments. Show venue refurbishments? Behind the scenes developments?

There is no official TowersStreet meetup in 2013, but there will certainly be some unofficial meets there im sure!

- New hotel in plans
- Less star rating (so 2 or 3)
- Cheaper price than existing hotels
- Location adjacent to Camp Resort
- Western Theme.

Wow, Bell Rock just opened...

In the past they had at least 3 years between the opening of a new hotel.

Looks like Europa-Park are currently working out which of three new seat design choices to go for in the Magic Cinema.

They have varying degrees of padding and so on. Note the colour change to red! Image from Chris-Space.net

I thought the seats were awful in the cinema, very uncomfortable and not much better than the Ice Age benches.
