Apart from when the scanners fail to recognise your MAP on the first go, ultimately slowing everything right down.
The new barriers scan quicker and will accept tickets from both the machines and from Box Office/Sales & Info booths. Massive improvement, a lot easier to monitor revenue, nowt to do with staff cutting![]()
There are a multitude of reasons but at present that isn't one![]()
Hopefully with the new barriers we will see new ticket machines back in the monorail station as well as the entrance area.
Hopefully not this time, the new barriers are Skidata so hopefully they will also produce the ticket machines. And Skidata produce no end of ticket machines (your local NCP carpark is probably full of them). So they should be able to get parts for a long time!Until gradually, one breaks and each one is cannibalised for parts until they're all inevitably useless.
Just be thankful it's not an American theme park where parking is $17 (£11)!Cant believe we are discussing these new car parking barrier machines with some degree of excitement. I hate the ruddy things, they have no place in a theme park which charges over £50 per person to go inside then another £6 just to park the ruddy car when there are no viable public transport or park and ride options nearby.
I didn't think this was worth putting in a different topic (apologies if it should have been, mods), but this Big 6 Challenge is quite interesting, albeit a bit confusing.
So is all you have to do ride all the SWs + Rita and you get a free return ticket? Seems very easy to do. Surely there's some more Ts & Cs coming our way.
