2016: Ireland

Ooh that new restaurant sounds interesting. Do we know where it will be located?

:)

Colonial House is being converted and extended.

I've never been inside there!

But Dan...why ? I though that you`d know every little corner of Europa !

Although it does not fit to the rest of the park...it`s beautiful in there. And let`s not forget about the artificial thunderstorm inside !

I'm not deeply familiar with Europa, but have two different types of monorail and the EP Express is used for transportation purposes isn't? It's a good thing to hear since the resort is massive!

That's right! EP express is for transport and has fully enclosed trains. The other monorail (which I can't think for the life of me what it's called) is similar to Safari Skyway at Chessington, in the sense that itMs for observational purposes, and only has 2 stations. :)

Funnily enough, the other monorail is called, erm, 'Monorail'. :p

Monorail-Bahn if we are being technical! ;)

Always fascinating to watch Europa at this time of year as things quite literally just appear out of nowhere!

EPFans.info have some closed season photos from EP!

What's missing here?

It looks like some sort of renewable energy system is being built in the Elz:

The monorail re-route is progressing well:

EP have also posted some of their own photos to Facebook. Looks like lots of pathways have been dug up for what looks like infrastructure work.

There's a heck of a lot to get done still and we are in February now. Not sure when exactly it's meant to open but even May/June time could be pushing it. I do hope it is of the same high standards of other areas in the park and not less just because it is a kids area.

:)

Indeed, the ship has been removed for maintenance.

I am assured that when it returns it will be even more of a fine specimen of a ship! :p

:)
Phew! Thought I was going to be having an awkward 'noob' moment then!

Europa-Pare building a new house in Switzerland themed to a classic Swiss children's story called 'A bell for Ursli'. Synopsis:

"A Bell for Ursli" is a classic Swiss children's story, with pictures by award-winning Swiss illustrator Alois Carigiet. Ursli is a little boy who lives in the Swiss Alps. He must find a big cowbell so that he can lead the spring procession through his village, so he goes alone to his family's chalet high up in the mountains. There, he spends a lonely, scary night. Generations of Swiss children have grown up with Ursli.

In other news, Roland Mack's personal collection of carnival items and masks is going to be on display in a new small museum inside the park.

:D

As one of the park's main mascots, Böckli is severely underused! That new house looks quite big though so it will be interesting to see how they fit it in. New themed buildings are always good though!

:)
