Quick question. Did anyone else have navigation issues when trying to find the old log flume? I know it's been taken away but it was a nightmare to get to knowing what path to take. I could get to other areas of the park with ease and without a map but that place was challenging. It wasn't until I had been a few times that I knew that area existed.

Now with the new path cutting through the woods and seeing the old flume and SW8 being built, it kind of opens up that area.
 
How haven't they sorted out The Smiler's optical room yet?! I was on park today and It's an utter mess. No projectors working with only one on displaying a BIOS error!

The park was extremely quiet. The longest we waited all day was around 15 minutes for Nemesis as it was on one train. Even The Smiler was practically walk on all day. Good to get back onto Hex.

Yes agree. It was hidden from most of Mutiny Bay by the courtyard and set back behind mature trees.

But on the plus side, the fact it was so secluded made the theming clash less obvious.
 
Out of interest has the ride signs in CCL Burger Kitchen been changed with the removal of Air and Sub Terra's signs. I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't as it still has Air pictures in Towers Trading.
 
Any idea what is happening with sub terror? I was on park today the exit door was open there was apparently a lot of activity around the site of sub terror? What's everyone's opinion ?

Apparently Sub Terra, According to the quote below, Sub Terra may reopen this year (I doubt it though look what happened with Hex and The Smiler in the past year) I hope to see Sub Terra reopen as any attraction would help with the line-up at the minute. If SW8 isn't fully Thrill Seeker marketed and Sub Terra reopens in 2018 at least they will have Sub Terra to market to them.

CCL area may turn in to something to do with Lego. Splash to be closed over Scarefest and only 3 hotels to be open at one time except the very peak summer months. Sub Terra may reopen this year if not deffo next year due to the restraints problem being resolved (note different restraints in Dungeons version) - not sure the actors will return though.

Yes - thats what ive heard. Apparently it was all down to the restraints. The ones initially fitted were not secure enough, the newer ones were too restrictive and took too long to load, the new new ones as fitted to the drop towers in the dungeons appear to have solved the problems and will be fitted to NST soon.
 
Would be great if Sub-Terra opened later this season. At the least I'm sure it will return in 2018 to coincide with SW8 and a boost in guest figures.

would love to see sub terra opening again but as much as i hate to say it lots of activity doesn't indicate that it's going to open soon...it's hard to guess as i bet merlin don't even know what they're doing with it at the minute. for all we know they could be using it as storage (doubt it but you never know). I think they may open it again for next season but would love to see it open for scarefest in October to really bring that scare zone to life, I would also like to see scare zones made larger to cover more of the areas in the park but i think i'm asking far too much there.

When I was there opening weekend It still had AIR signage, so unless they replaced them since then no.
 
The ride times have been change to show whats open for ERT and what time the other close rides will be open. They still seem to struggle with getting the rides signed off on time in the mornings with Galactica, Spinball and Thirteen still showing as unavailable

Those new restraints must be lost in the post, its been down for ages. Its more than just "restraints."
 
Sub-Terra being closed is now simply a cost cutting measure. However it has not been totally mothballed and could re-open in the future if there is demand for additional capacity. I have no idea if that means this summer for example or in 2018.

As for The Smiler, it is great to have it open again however the whole thing is a total state. It's Towers newest major coaster yet it looks like their oldest. It has to go down as one of the worst designed projects in the history of theme parks.
