Rita, Spinball and Nemesis it seems have opened. Only a couple of hours of the park opening left but it’s a start.

Based on some photos from today and the forecast tomorrow I don’t think it’s a dead cert they will open wickerman tomorrow.

I agree. There’s below zero temps tonight so ice n snow ain’t shifting fast.
As Wednesday a closed day a think a full day open will be Thursday.

No it's definitely touch and go. I'm saying Tuesday PM at earliest. If it doesn't open I will be back in a few weeks to ride it anyway (on an off peak day once more)

Nope they have said that today about tomorrow several times now if you click on replies in twitter.

Can't see them opening it now till Thursday at the earliest. Such a shame but hey ho. I think I'm guna go anyway and whore Nemmy all day. I'm off work till Wednesday and can't make rest of week sadly.

Sit at home or ride Nemmy all day? Not a difficult choice. :)

1 train? That's outrageous !!!! :(

However they have barely had a queue for it today if ride times is reliable so maybe hardly anyone is there at the park. I imagine many will put it off until they know for sure WM is open.

I'm going to go anyway. I reckon we may get everything open tomorrow bar Smiler and WM.

I also gave it a miss. Walked past it. Will probably try it out next week. Thought about it but wanted to get away to beat a bit of the rush hour traffic. Only reason I would have stuck around today was for Wicker Man.

Edit. Today, the place was pretty empty. However, the queues for the only available rides were a bit big for my liking as there was nothing else for people to queue up for, and Nemesis was only on one train. If they keep it on one train when there are loads of visitors, it'll be an absolute nightmare. Bit gutted about Wicker Man not opening as I booked this bit of holiday with the main intention of trying out the new ride. Looks like I'll be going back to work on Wednesday having failed to do so. Frustrating, but you can't control mother nature, I suppose.

The queue was short enough that ft wasn't manned, I guess it was 10 minutes max main queue.

There's no national half term, it's per local authority (and even then it can vary).

Week starting 22nd October is a full week of scarefest so that might not be the best day to go to avoid queues, as Alton mist be expecting it to be busy.
