They keep referring to this ride as ground-breaking
Technically it's already ground breaking, a lot of ground has been broke!

I imagine that they will start constructing Wood for the top of the lift hill pretty soon (if not already), before moving on to the bends and drop in the area of the old flume drop. They are phasing foundation construction to retain access to construct Wood at the back and upper site, once the back sections are finished theyll start constructing foundations on the area which is currently being used as a haul road through the middle. It looks like The founds and groundwork are finished at the very top end, and close to being finished in the old flume drop area.
The site is looking good!

Great photo. Comparing it to The Smiler's construction site groundwork hadn't even started yet at this point, yet SW8 has gone vertical. It's good to see the park learning from their mistakes.
According to TPW it's believed that framework for the station roof has arrived
