Amen!
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but in my opinion, the twistiness, the airtime and the relentless second half of Icon that's packed with airtime and laterals really make it something quite special. I will happily admit that it's not the most intense coaster, but I certainly don't find it forceless; that second half especially is quite forceful!Indeed. One is an out and out thrill coaster whereas the other is a glorified kids coaster!
I seem to remember the second half carrying pretty good speed when I rode, but bear in mind that the ride reportedly warms up a lot, and I didn't take my first rides on it until 2pm, so I didn't experience the apparent "slow Icon" in the morning.Relentless second half??
It's like the blooming caterpillar towards the end the way it weaves about pointlessly
Because icon is much betterI know it’s all opinions and that’s what makes discussion, for me you can’t even compare nemesis and icon, they are leagues apart in every aspect.
I agree, I expected so much from the second launch and got nothing more than a gentle push to keep its momentum going. For me, the coaster is just a little too long and I got the impression they ran out of ideas towards the end so just put in a few twists and turns.Relentless second half??

Based on recent days the queues will reach this maximum:I’m heading there on Friday 5th July, hoping it won’t be too busy then!
It's better than rita and th13teenMmm 50 minutes for Galactica no thank you. Queuing for 3 hours for the first time in 2002 was bad enough but these days it’s just not worth it it unless it’s 10 and under.

It got upto 65 today! It won't be that long. Especially if you go early on in the day. I normally do Wickerman first and then go straight to Forbidden Valley for about 11am. Queues at that time are never normally longer than 5-10 minutes.
