It isn't :-(
I was going to edit my last post to say that Nemmy hasn't opened again
I think the main problem with the Rita SRQ was that it was so easy to see and get into with not much thought. On the likes of The Smiler and Nemesis it took at least a small bit of effort to find them away from the main queue so not that many people filtered into them relatively compared with Rita. If the entrance for the Rita SRQ was a bit more hidden and you couldn't see people queueing in its SRQ at the top of the steps as the first thing you see when you walk to the ride I think it would have been a bit better to use on busy days. Just thought I'd add that.
Is smiler really on a 4 hour queue?
150 minutes..... most popular coaster consistently
It's two and a half hours. That sounds about right. It had a massive queue yesterday right from 10am
It was showing 250 minutes lol.
Wow yes that is a lot
Desperate ride staff probably trying to work out what number they have to put out the front to stop people piling into the concrete pit of death
That queue will be absolutely vile today, wouldn't be surprised if people start passing out from dehydration / heatstroke.
The wickerman queue wont be nice either.
Its getting beyond a joke these new lego investors have to start investing and investing fast it's a joke merlin have let this place crash. On a summer day with decent crowd and no nemisis what do you do with forbidden valley? Oh I know have a ride SBNO remove a popular flat run the only coaster on reduced capacity on one station and turn people away on the speakers and hope a pirate swinging ship which can be found everywhere keeps the punters entertained!
Is Galactica on single station operation today?
As for Nemesis, she's had a lot of downtime recently. Hopefully it is nothing too serious. I am not really sure what the park can do about that though.
Oh yes it is and the answer to your other question is DONT close needed attractions to entertain your paying customers when some may break!
Send in those bulldozers I say, that will sort it out once and for all!
It's all ok Merlin are sorting out the issue as we speak. Memo; Bouncy castle on its way
Calm down, Nemesis will be back soon I'm sure
Trip advisor travellers choice awards have just been announced, Alton Towers have gone down from 3rd to 10th!
Not surprising given last year staff told customers “it’s better than nothing”
They’ll climb back up next year if the improvements in service continue.
Mechanics were examining the vertical loop earlier. I think they've already had problems with that part of track aswell. Probs too much stress on supports.
