I don't think people go every week. I go every 3-4 weeks which is enoughOn the face of it no, as they have an annual pass so they should in theory be able to go as much as they like. My non-evidence based suspicion however, is that some of these people who are turning up 3-4 times in a week to the same place when you've clearly had to book a couple of weeks in advance have probably block booked the whole week and then just turned up on the 3-4 that were convenient when it came to the time (therefore taking an allocated space for another passholder to use out of the system that someone else could have used). As I say, totally unfounded accusation but I've lived on this earth for 38 years and I have a good suspicion of what people are like.

Towers will kick themselves if they see that and wonder why they didn't think of it in the first place.Disney seem to have a better approach with this (as always). You can cancel an annual pass prebook ticket up to 10am on the day.
Failing to cancel and being a no show blocks you out from booking again within the next 14 days and any bookings you did have for that time are cancelled.

It doesn't really matter what you think mate, it's absolute fact that some people do. I've seen people on social media in the past couple of weeks be at AT several days in the same week. Thanks for your input though.
When I contacted Towers about wanting to cancel for last weekend they seemed more interested in stating they don’t do refunds (I wasn’t asking for a refund) They weren’t bothered about wanting to offer up tickets for others.Disney seem to have a better approach with this (as always). As @imanautie has said before the system allows self serve but probably costs Merlin money to offer that service.
I personally feel that all our passes (not just the MAP, but our Zoo's passes too) are as useful as a chocolate teapot during this pandemic. I've personally written this year off, and won't be booking any more hotel stays or renewing any of our passes until all this has blown over.
I've been cutting our losses regards to what we have already paid out for passes and hotel stays prior to this pandemic.

The problem seems to be that everyone went to Congo River Rapids which had a ridiculous queue for most of the last few days. The park appear to be taking a battering on Trip Advisor due to the lack of social distancing and crowd levels over the last few days.
Well that's a bit sad ngl. Why do people need to go that much. The ‘reduced capacity’ claim is a typical Merlin marketing ploy.
The capacity could well have been cut by 50%, taking it from around 30,000 to 15,000 - however according to planning docs the park only had 20 days last season with an attendance of 16,000 or higher. So in reality it will be as busy as any other summer holiday period.
The park do have a ‘window of opportunity’ to attract guests that wouldn’t usually visit the park. Those guests that would usually visit Disney/Universal Parks, or have holidays abroad will perhaps be looking to visit the park for the first time, or the first time in years. Give them a great day and they could secure themselves many new long term repeat visitors.
Mess it up and it reinforces the perception that UK parks are badly organised and they won’t come back.

That's what I thought about the capacity. They have reduced the capacity, but only compared to the maximum capacity, not in terms of average/typical numbers. If only they had another decent water ride, like a log flume or something, to spread that queue between.

When letting that many people in I think they need to do more to ensure social distancing.
They can tick boxes and put the floor markers down, reduce ride capacity etc, but there is more they can do to stop people having a miserable day.
Every single group that joins a queue should be verbally instructed at the ride entrance to stand behind the chevrons.

But that would mean having a member of staff outside every entrance. We know what towers would say. When letting that many people in I think they need to do more to ensure social distancing.
