Definitely seen pictures of the area open since the flooding, seemingly OK. Doesn't seem unlikely that it would only have been a drying out job.Anyone know the deal with ATH now? That won't be a drying out job, that'll be a replacement on insurance. Wondering how long that takes to be resolved as it's never happened before

For anyone interested Google maps satellite images for Alton Towers have been updated this week. Previously the images were from 2017 when Wicker Man was under construction.
Edit: whilst the images were updated this week I think they were likely taken in late April / early May time.

The street view images are from 2009, so there are a lot of throw back moments to see!
What exactly is there to here about for 2022? Nothing will happen next year, it'll be the same as this yearIs anyone else mildly concerned that there’s only 3 months left of this season and we still haven’t heard about anything for 2022? (Or a Scarefest lineup for that matter)
The fact we havn't heard anything about scarefest yet or seen any preparation if a little strange. Is anyone else mildly concerned that there’s only 3 months left of this season and we still haven’t heard about anything for 2022? (Or a Scarefest lineup for that matter)
2022 addition is less strange as it probably just means it going to be a new show in the David Williams World which wouldn't require any planning permission or something else that doesn't need permission to be built/installed/refurbished.

Wouldn't be too concerned just yet, mid-August is the golden period for Scarefest. Last year Scarefest was announced on August 12th. Walliams World wasn't announced until October 2019.Is anyone else mildly concerned that there’s only 3 months left of this season and we still haven’t heard about anything for 2022? What, five additional rides that weren't there the previous season ?What exactly is there to here about for 2022? Nothing will happen next year, it'll be the same as this year
Yes but I mean in terms of proper investments not temporary fair rides. They're not exactly exciting newsWouldn't be too concerned just yet, mid-August is the golden period for Scarefest. Last year Scarefest was announced on August 12th. Walliams World wasn't announced until October 2019.

It’s certainly not too late for 2022 stuff, either; I believe Octonauts wasn’t properly known about until January 2015 for the 2015 season, and some of the park’s past investments for the next season haven’t been known about until quite late on in the season before, so there’s most definitely still time!
It’s also worth remembering that if as rumoured/suggested some or all of the Retrosquad get permanent replacements, then the temporary rides themselves will need removing first.
2020 aside for obvious reasons, the only year in the park’s history where absolutely nothing new was installed was 2011, and that was only because the original IP backing the planned 2011 development (Shrek 4D, I believe?) pulled out last-minute. I’d be very surprised if we didn’t at least see something.

With regards to nothing being announced for Scarefest and 2022 - I'd hazard a guess that Scarefest will probably be within the next few weeks. It's usually between mid July to mid August that we hear about mazes.
The past few years, new attractions have tended to be announced late in the season. Dungeons was part way through Scarefest and I think Walliams was about the same time, maybe a little bit earlier.

Anyone know the fastrack allocation numbers? Just curious as I see platinum is sold out for most of August.
