Can't see the post about Hex, but its coming up as closed today.

Yeah I've just checked the app and Hex is still listed as closed. They've probably forgotten to change its status on the system as they haven't had to do it for so long. :p
Great to see it back open though! :)
 
I went on it while it was closed then. Me 1 - Ride Times - 0 :cool:

Nice atmosphere today, seems to be mostly first time visitors judging by the reactions on Hex and Thirteen. Lots of people exploring the gardens and towers.

Well done to anyone who ran today. I done the 10k despite being a fatty with no training and actually done alright!

1 hour 15 mins for me but I'd guess the average is probably nearer an hour.

Great that the event has given first-timers a reason to visit the park. :)
 
Probably the worst ride I've ever had on Hex today - almost merciful that they didn't revive it for last week given the state it was in. Horribly loud fan going in the Octagon and some of the audio not working which totally ruined the atmosphere. Then the vault...the audio was so quiet that the mechanism was clearly audible. Barely any of the lighting effects were working properly, including the eyes in the finale. So sad.to see, especially with so many newbies clearly riding!

The fan in the Octagon is what's left over from Covid restrictions, I hope it is gone next season. When I last rode it at Scarefest, everything in the vault was working - the audio was very quiet - but the lighting was ok. Maybe whatever was wrong with it has affected the lighting, or in fixing it for today they've broken something else!

There’s usually some notices up to advise guests the park will be observing the 2 minute silence. They stop loading rides shortly before so that no one is on them when 11am hits. On Towers Street, there’s sometimes an announcement beforehand, and the music is switched off across park for the period of the silence.
