If you visit Phantasialand, Europa Park or Efteling in the mid-winter, you can achieve your coaster fix, but you can also enjoy a show, see the seasonal decorations, have a nice pint, enjoy a meal, shelter in a dark ride. You're able to skip between attractions fairly quickly without walking a great distance. None of this seems possible or even viable at Towers in its current state. I think they should build gradually on this Christmas event while they tweak the park in the direction it desperately needs right now, and then it might be worth it to go all the way, eventually.

The whole 365 operations has been spoken about for years. It was in the official long term development plan released in 2012, so it has always been an idea Towers have wanted to explore/pursue.

We aren't that far off it now really. If the Feb half term event returns in 2022 and the Christmas event continues from this year, then January would be the only month of the year that the park is closed completely.

I think we're a long way off true 365 operations. I can see the first step being an expansion of the Christmas event, with one or two coasters being introduced to the line-up. Maybe in 10 years we'll see the park open all year round... maybe.

It would be good to see a better offering at Christmas for the rides. It would be good if they could get a couple coasters open like what they used to do at Feb half term

Yeah I don’t think they will do true 364 days a year (really don’t ever see Christmas Day happening). Doesn’t feel like it would make sense to be open in January unless it is limited and indoor areas invested in so people can get out of the cold.
As others have said continual improvement on the Christmas event would fill the November and December weekends. Then February half term, March weekends have traditionally always been parkwide exclusive days (services and John Lewis). This leaves Jan and early Feb weekends as the only ones not open.

Yup, costs over income, I don't think year round will ever be a realistic economic option.
If the hotels were run well, I think it would be, but they aren't.
There are too few indoor attractions, none of them heated!
And just think...they would really need to put hot water in the toilets for the winter, so it will never happen!

I think just having Feb Half term for families then the main season Mar to Nov with families again at Christmas is good enough as the main rides have a good 4 months service and rest as they had a very long season.
Also with frosts and minus temperatures who want to go to a theme park then.

Had a feeling that would be the case for both of them unfortunately. :(
Fingers crossed their parts arrive in closed season and they're ready to go next year. :)
Let's hope so!

On another note, there looks like there are so many runners today! I didn't expect there to be that many!

Well nobody cares about that ride at this time of the year (or in general) but your point still stands that another ride is shut
Believe me, there are plenty of brave souls out there who would ride it in colder weather (myself included- I rode it during Scarefest 2020), especially as it doesn't actually get you that wet. :p;)
