I was gonna hold out for a free Sun ticket but I'll be visiting more regularly if those hours are consistent.

I guess they're taking advantage of the fact that people can't go abroad at the moment and want to offer the best possible experience they can. Amazing news.
 
I hope they are consistent, surely they wouldn't drop from 8pm on the first week to 4 and 5pm on the second week onwards would they?
 
I'm not trying to be negative but how is this beneficial for towers as a company? Surely it'll be dead from 6pm onwards. Seems like a waste of money on operational costs

The park is almost at capacity, they could sell evening tickets, etc.

Also - they want rides per head up this year and this will support that.

I expect it depends on how many bookings they get. As it is pre-book only its much easier for them to predict how busy the park will be and adjust the hours up.
 
Roughly the same as 2020. I'd expect an increase once indoor rides open and evening tickets will add capacity too - if/when they appear.

Not a surprise considering it'll still be Easter holidays across most of the country.

But good to see them being more open to late hours.

I think we can safely and certainly say The Retro Squad was not intended as a 40th addition. The theme they've gone with may well be a response to the fact they were not able to celebrate their 40th in the way they wanted to, but we know more or less exactly what the 2020 season was supposed to look like.

You have to remember that Oktoberfest and the other new additions for 2020 were all announced in February when Coronavirus was still very much an overseas issue. Equally the park actually did open for it's regular pre-season weekends and were entirely expecting to open as usual in March, so the ride line-up for 2020 was already in place and ready for the start of the season.

Everything points to the pop-up attractions resulting from a debrief for the 2020 season and discussion about how they could make 2021 better whilst we're still in the grip of the pandemic. I suspect the extended opening hours were probably also seeded during the same discussions.

We may well have seen a few neat little 40th surprises during the year, but certainly nothing on the scale of The Retro Squad.

This is really good news. I could potentially go there after work for a quiet few hours as I'm working 6-2pm. Takes me about an hour and a half to get there, so if I go straight from work it should be workable. Good move :)
 
Don't know how they can increase capacity with social distancing because the physical queue lines for a lot of rides aren't big enough. The smiler regularly hit capacity last season
 
Amazing move from Towers. I could potentially do it in the evening too, if the price is right for evening entry.

Bravo.
