Possibly. There is some weird politics at that place. Maybe they're going to promote an evening ticket option.

Now we've got ppl saying "but the app says 5pm"
They need to maximise notice so people *actually* stay.

As has been pointed out by @AstroDan multiple times now, we have these opening hours on good authority, and it seems like we can expect later opening hours across the board all season. I don't think there's any need to comment immediately on any changes as clearly there's some disputes going on in the marketing department (or technical errors on the website causing them to roll back an update), so for now I think we can stop. If however in a few weeks time opening hours which have been set in stone for a while begin to change, then I think it's worth reporting on.

What sort of close times are midweek days listed as, out of interest?
 
4pm. Weekdays will remain as such for now due to the amount of tickets sold.

Just don't bother in the week. Even if the park is quieter, you'll still get on more at weekends with such a massive difference in hours and better operations too.

That’s fair; it’s probably not worth their while opening any later in the week when the kids are in school.
 
I’m booked in for 16th April, which is currently listed as an 8pm close! Can’t wait for my first visit of the season; with my Premium MAP, I’m hoping that it could be the first of quite a few!

Out of interest, do we know what it is that’s caused this sudden surge in budgets, for things like events and longer opening hours? As surely the park would have less money for this sort of thing because of COVID? I have my suspicions that it could be the new, private ownership of Merlin starting to take effect, but I’m not sure whether this explains everything or not...

I’ll be there the 14th with my niece for a thrill seeker training day :pand 18th for an all out marathon session! Even more excited now! Brilliant news by the park and another step in the right direction regarding operations and guest satisfaction, well done towers:)
