[2022] 'Eatrenalin' Innovative Restaurant

Awesome. I'm so glad they pulled it off.

If your friends don't mind sharing (without spoiling things), how was the food itself? And on a scale of 1-10, how drunk are you at the end of it, with the drinks they include?
I asked them and here's both the answers:
The food is very, very good. In a different setting it probably wouldn't be the best meal they've had but it suits the experience well.
In terms of alcohol, it's supposedly free flowing! Whenever they had an empty glass someone was on hand to refill it. They were never given a limit in amount, only that certain drinks were only served in the more expensive packages (they were doing the standard experience)
Obviously this is a premium experience so getting wasted would likely get you escorted out.

A longer review to follow, but after experiencing Eatrenalin last night I’ve got to say it’s really an extraordinary experience. It’s so mad in fact that it verges on being slightly cheesy/tacky. What stops it from falling foul of this is the quality of the food - it is superb, Michelin standard food.

As for the booze, you’ll get a couple of glasses of champagne in the lounge, a glass of rose, a white, a couple of small cups of sake, a small glass of red and a cocktail. Whether that gets you drunk depends on your tolerance/size I guess. We were okay. At least until we got some cocktails in the bar afterwards.

The more I read about Eatrenalin the more I do want to experience it! Glad you enjoyed the experience; the booze level sounds more than adequate. I'm guessing the cocktails in the bar after were quite unique also (assuming you drank in the Eatrenalin bar)?

Where actually is Eatrenalin? I now want a go although I'll ask for a diet coke since I don't drink.
It's by Hotel Krønasår. When booking you not only choose whether you want the red or green food menu (meat or vegan), but whether you want alcoholic drinks or non-alcoholic drinks. Although I am not sure you'll see them serving up a diet coke!

The cocktails were reasonably unique. Nothing over the top, but what you’d expect from a high end city bar in say London or Manchester. You can purchase a cocktail package add-on when you book, which is what we did. It cost £50 and it gets you three cocktail tokens that you can use on any cocktail, plus water and some bar snacks (crisps, nuts and popcorn). I’m not sure I’d recommend the package itself as good value as the cocktails are about £14 each, so nearly £10 for the snacks.

The non-alcoholic options with the meal are pretty good from what we saw. There’s definitely no Diet Coke option though.

Overall though, if you enjoy your food and drink I’d say it was worth the price. It’s a treat, but a very unique experience.

Screamscape posted on Facebook about Eatrenalin, but what was interesing is that they wondered what Disney could do with the concept, as in a proper version of Be Our Guest, where you go through a full dark ride as part of the meal. I'm not sure current Disney could pull it off, but the idea of a trackless dance to Be Our Guest and then slowing down to eat in the castle would be quite cool.

I shudder to imagine what something like this would cost at a Disney park
Depends what they try to do with it. If its a 2-3 course meal in a park I would expect it to be a little more than the current in park dining but not significantly expensive, Be Our Guest is currently $67 for adults for a three course meal, so even as a ride experiance I would expect it to be around $100.
But if they went down the six course tasting menu style of Eatrenalin it may be a lot more, for example Victoria & Alberts at Disney's Grand Floridian is fine dining with a seven course menu at $295.

Experienced it on Sunday night and adding to the sentiment of others that it is an incredible experience. I would highly, highly recommend. I also have a couple of food allergies and the team was really good at dealing with these, which shocked me for a tasting menu.
One thing that slightly took away was the storyline being in German (although it didn’t stop it from being a great experience). Talking to some of the staff, it would seem that on first launch it was in English but following guest feedback it had changed to German, I guess it makes sense but slightly annoying we just missed it in English.
Also, in my opinion, the rooms that they allow you to film in are by far the weakest and least interesting rooms.

Great to hear that you had a positive experience with food allergies, very reassuring (I have a nut allergy).

I was quite surprised when I initially saw that the experience was going to be in English. Having it in German does make more sense.

New menus are set to be offered from 1st May according to the Eatrenalin website.

Thomas Mack said in a recent interview the goal is to change up the menu every 3 months.

Very interesting about the menu. I wonder if this will mean that the menu changes almost completely, or just with a few tweaks.

As with any high quality restaurant it is important to keep updating and refreshing the menu. The menus at most of the EP hotel restaurants change around 3 to 4 times a year I think. Seasonality of ingredients is always one factor.
