This is a first! Excited for this Christmas overlay well done Alton towers.
Was the music on Curse different.I was actually surprised they added so much to the ride, the outside and indoor queue had decorations, as does the station. Then throughout the ride there are plenty of Christmas trees and other decorations. They actually look really nice. And some actually fit in with the theme of the ride being set for New Year’s Eve. The garden section had a snowman, and then the final section has a load of large candy canes.
It’s just a shame they couldn’t have been incorporated into the rides program, as the lights just stay on all the time, some some scenes where the rides lights go out, it means the Christmas lights stay on, sometimes showing bits you shouldn’t be seeing.
Hex has had no change at all. I guess the fault had enough disco Christmas lights added when it had its changeoverWas the music on Curse different.
Has Hex had much of a Christmas overlay itself
On the right hand side in the actic scene by the giant spider. Lit up in red and also moving too!Where abouts is the new hand? I couldn’t see it?
Pete Cliff (former Entertainments Creative at Towers) has done an interview with a business podcast talking about his time at Merlin and the challenges of being a startup working on the Curse at Alton Manor. Would be a pretty interesting listen for many on here.
Alton Towers choosing B&M to manufacture Nemesis at the time isn't much different than Cedar Point choosing RMC to manufacture Steel Vengeance. B&M had proven themselves with Batman: The Ride a couple years earlier.P.S. I always found it funny that AT were happy to give millions to B&M in 1994, even though B&M were technically also a small startup company at the time as well?
I suppose B&M was never a true startup company in the traditional sense, because the founders had previously worked for a major rollercoaster company before.Alton Towers choosing B&M to manufacture Nemesis at the time isn't much different than Cedar Point choosing RMC to manufacture Steel Vengeance. B&M had proven themselves with Batman: The Ride a couple years earlier.
