The Abridged story version never played in the park, it was only used in Cassete tapes that the park sold in Gift Shops for fans to enjoy. The original version of the soundtrack has been uploaded on YouTube. This piece was mainly used in the rides queue and area.

The later version that we all come to know though was an edited version I believe that was used much later on. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I have always known the first one, and, sad as it sounds, I used to fall asleep to it in the early 2000's on a laptop at the side of my bed. It just reminds me of those early 2000's on the park in late October with the halloween decorations standing, in the cold queue waiting to ride.
I particularly remember having a bad cold, and... well, G-forces and a runny nose do not mix... Much to the consternation of my late mother :tearsofjoy:

A friend of mine was previously in a band who achieved some brief but mad success, and had a recent resurgence when Dave Grohl unexpectedly said their one album was an all-time favourite of his.

As teenagers, they used to play the Nemesis soundtrack in their rehearsal space before recording, and then later on, before gigs.

Listening to this again has reminded me of just how unbeatable this soundtrack is. I love IMAscore, and having met Xaver, the guy is a genius and clearly incredibly talented at what he does. But unless/until I arrive in March and get absolutely blown away by the new soundtrack, the Graham Smart O.G will rein supreme.

I've just rewatched the BBC News report (which was repeated on BBC Breakfast this morning) and after listening to the project manager Dave Taylor again, he says they've managed to "quieten the running rails down to be of a smoother experience...but the roar is still there". This got me thinking: as there is no obvious filling caps on the main box sections of the track which implies that is not filled with sand, could just the actual rails be filled with sand instead? These could easily have been filled in America during fabrication and the extra weight wouldn't have caused too much of an issue for shipping the track over here.

potentially that maybe also the wheels have been designed with new materials to decrease rolling noise as well

Yeah, the legs have clearly been painted up. If they were going to match them they would have done it by now. Not sure why they didn't at least paint them red tbh... Station looks a bit monochrome from that side
Sure the original planning said around 30 supports would not be replaced. I assumed that was station and close proximity ones. 80+ they replaced must have been the rest

The park has always had the full length Nemesis track in production quality. The copy online is slightly edited from a commercial copy.

The Tom baker narrated version was also published by Graham Smart online and previously available from the 90s promo CD /cassette.

It's such a perfect soundtrack, and incredible how sonically it's stood the test of time. The new snippet we heard doesn't seem to improve on the original, in fact they've butchered the theme and taken out all the intricate counter melodies. If it ain't broke don't fix it, or at least get the melody right....

As others have already said, you've only heard 30 seconds of the soundtrack. Wait until you hear the full-length version before deciding to hate it with an apparent vengeance. ;)
