[2024] Voltron Nevera | Mack Stryker Coaster

Voltron is already popular with the local storks it seems; one is building a nest in the track.

Just noticed that the second launch before the stall is a block brake, which is very interesting!

The latest episode of The Construction Documentary is out, and it is probably the best one yet! After their usual malarkey, Partick and Lukas spend a good chunk of time talking through the entire layout of Voltron!

Sounds like there are going to be some very special elements in the ride, including some strong airtime! The inverted stall, which I posted above, will leave you upside down for 2.2 seconds. And they have no idea how the outward banked hill is going to feel, in theory it should give you sideways airtime!

They also very quickly glossed over the turntable, so I think it is fair to assume that more will happen here than the POV lets on.

Setting the scene with this teaser, just released on Veejoy for a 4D film which is coming out this autumn to promote the new ride. Click 'watch' and it should default to English. If it doesn't, then you can change the language at the top once it's playing.

After taking a proper look around yesterday, I have to say the footprint of Voltron is huge. Photos do not do it justice. It’s shaping up pretty nicely though, facade treatment have now started in the station building and the model in the preview centre also shows just how large the coaster will be. I’m now intrigued to understand how large the accessible area of Croatia is going to be once the expansion spaces are accounted for.

The new film in the Dream Dome is also a return to form. The previous space/CGI films have been a disappointment but the new film is much more akin to the original with lots of beautiful landscapes and vistas.

It's the last Thursday of the month, which means Construction Documentary day!

Another more serious episode today (with some humour thrown in of course) focussing largely on the theming for the Croatian area. They didn't want to give too much away in terms of effects that are planned by there is going to be a viewing platform/bridge that goes over a bit of the track near the station building.

The station building shell is now complete and thematic work on the exterior has started. It is seemingly all coming along very well.

I thought today's episode was very good - informative. I loved some of the concept art, and the planned viewing platform is going to be lovely.

It'll all be great in 2024 but no doubt by 2025, they will finish the village and it'll be 100%!

It really is rather clunky isn’t it? You’d have thought they would have released an app at least to make it slightly more user friendly, especially if they’re doubling down with using it for all their content.

Great video, but Veejoy is so, so, so bad.

Why can't they just put these things on YouTube like almost every other company in the world?

In fact, does anyone rip these things to YouTube?
Mack want all the online traffic on their platform and people to register an account.

People did repost some episodes and the POV on YouTube and Twitter but were quickly copyright striked and forced to remove.

Why does a rollercoaster company have their own streaming platform? Seems like a weird market to branch out into, haha! Just been catching up on this project, looks really cool. Will definitely be making the trip out to ride.

I believe Veejoy comes under the Mack Media side of the company, not the rides business.

Indeed, there are many different Mack companies. Mack Rides, Mack Media, Mack Animation, Mack One, Mack International (this may be more a brand than a company) and then obviously Europa-Park GmbH & Co Mack KG.
