It's nothing to do with Merlin though, they did not mention "roller coaster" in the press release. It's purely just outlets wanting clicks.

I'd love this too but I can't see it happening. Toxicator has two main angles of view, whereas Ripsaw had one.

If text was placed on the bottom then it'd be the right way up from only one of the main viewpoints.

The text being upsidedown from the backside of Wipsaw never mattered as it only was viewed from one direction.

I do wish the gondola was a bit more textured / detailed though rather than just one solid plain green.

It's that kind of level of theming that we get so rarely these days. The Tussauds era it was basically the default option. I noticed this majorly when I visited Gardaland last year that has soo much Tussauds era stuff remaining. Massive set features, big infrastructure. Super high quality theming pieces that last the test of time.

These days theming is on a much much smaller and less detailed scale. We really need the large theming and detailed-ness era back I feel.

It’s across everything though. Food, ride availability, ents. Merlin have done what the glazers have done. Reduced the quality and asset stripped every penny out of the place until they reach the point of no return. I think we are there.

This ride is a positive don’t get me wrong. But so was the appointment of Amorim initially. Papering over cracks
 
Most of the theming was removed from ripsaw over the years as it caused issues with maintenance. I don’t have a major issue with them avoiding the same issue with Toxicator but I feel it could have more graphic art on it.

There're definitely plenty of ways to add copious theming without affecting reliability though. Such as Talocan of course.
 
The gondola doesn't have much on Talocan, but is painted well enough to blend in with the themeing around the hardware, that's not actually attached to it.
