Yes it certainly looks like that may be the case. Very promising!

It does look like it's started to be cleared out.

Baring in mind I haven't been up that way since 2022, but it was an absolute tip. It was strewn with old ride theming, like Twirling Toadstools' op cabin. Which I can't see in those pictures.

It does look like the Toadstool cabin has gone.

But more importantly, the bat roost has been moved. Unless I'm mistaken, you can see its new location in the photos in between the poly tunnel and the Flag Tower on the old Mouse site.

@Danny, thanks for those - exactly what we needed. At first glance I was thinking I will admit have to admit reality now and there is no way they could be ready within 13 months, but then some more educated people than me spotted apparent tree and bat removal....

12-14 month construction programme (best case from the various numbers quoted in the package of planning documents). We have trees felled and bats removed, what are you worried about?

I mean, I hate to rain on the optimism, but the various numbers from the planning documents place the best case at a 78-week construction period, with "2 year build period" quoted elsewhere. So realistically, you should be looking at 18 months.

Some other interesting bits and bobs you can spot in those photos. Firstly to the south of the site, the Scarefest hearse and the old Bear Grylls photo opp from the entrance plaza, alongside what I think is the Ripsaw Op Cabin:

Interestingly, there also seems to be a second hearse just up the road (are there two hearses used for Scarefest now?).

The second hearse is sitting alongside the bespoke Christmas theming that was used alongside Lightopia, but I don't think was used for the most recent event?


I think we already knew this, but these shots also confirm that Submission is long gone, as the Christmas theming is in the same spot that Submission was stored in for some time after it was removed from the park.

The whole vehicle was stored on the photos until just before WoJ, the vehicle itself is at Chessington, but the trailer part is still in the same place as it was before. It could always be used as additional Forbidden Valley theming if repainted!
