Maybe they were worried the PR efforts so far hadn't been confusing enough for everyone?Very strange to use the US date format. Maybe they think it's already closed!?
This really bugged me at first but I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and assume 'Phalanx' is an American company?
It has! This isn’t a big one, but I noticed that they said that the Phalanx has been “containing the beast for 27 years”… hasn’t Nemesis been open for 28?
Posted that one sometime last year I think. Clearly hasn't been fixed.
Oh, Merlin…
Na, not having that. Should defo be 'Town's' in the example used. Please excuse my somewhat purposely used lazy lingo in general in this response. I'm all for language evolving over long periods of time but you can't just get rid of the sensible usage of punctuation in a relatively short period of time (in my opinion).Semantics and pedantics calling.
Apostrophes are often now seen as optional.
A number of style guides suggest avoiding them completely if you are not confident in using them, so the lack of a single apostrophe in a poster is completely acceptable in many literary circles, sorry.
Also, as my good lady points out, if the poster is referring to more than one town, then it is technically correct.
You are correct, but I'm assuming the fish only belongs to one town (Shipwreck Coast). If the prize fish belongs to more than one town then it should be towns' or towns's (depending on preference)
