Is this something they'd be replaing normally or is it a sign of them being down to 2 trains? https://retail.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/product/icon-train-floor-plates/

Interestingly Amanda is saying that all rides will be opening on 12th April which goes against the current theory that indoor rides cannot open until 17th May.
The only indoor attraction at BPB is Impossible isn't it? Trauma Towers and Space Invader are gone. Maybe Wallace & Grommit, but the queue and station are outdoors, so it might be OK, same for Ghost Train and Alice I think they are queue and station outdoors too.

What will they sell in the Nick Shop if the sponsorship ends? More rusting lumps of metal?

I would have thought the Nickelodeon partnership will just get renewed, I can't see them them re-theming the area. As for Bradley Beaver I didn't realise he'd gone anywhere, I'm sure I've seen him wandering around the park over the last few years and performing on mini stages.

It will be a massive shame if the area gets re-themed, as both Nic Streak's and Blue Flyer's trains are really nice.

If it did ever get re themed I would have thought things like that would stay and only the names and any IP theming would be replaced. I highly doubt the infrastructure and buildings would ever change. It's been too well done in the first place to change it all.It will be a massive shame if the area gets re-themed, as both Nic Streak's and Blue Flyer's trains are really nice.

No I won’t, or Mrs Dippy will rip my gonads off. But in the words of Basil Fawlty, “She’ll have to sew them back on first”

Not seen this before, it's fairly short but has some good footage of the original 2 tier mouse from what is presumably the first couple of years of operation (if the date of the video is correct).
The mice had big sticky out ears.
Notice how quickly the mice are despatched!!

Great vid, not sure about the ears tho!Notice how quickly the mice are despatched!!
I'm pretty sure there's a well disguised jump cut between despatchs (or rather a gap in recording, cinefilm was too precious to waste on recording a gap in despatch).

What do you even do with it all? I don't get the fascination with worn coaster wheels and seatbelts / restraints.
Buying mugs, t-shirts and a magnet is my limit and I rarely buy any mugs or t-shirts these days. I try to buy a fridge magnet from every Park I visit though. I have quite the collection now too.

Ride parts aren't really for the average visitor but there are some serious collectors (e.g. Theme Park Worldwide) who do have pretty big collections and like to show them off. What do you even do with it all? I don't get the fascination with worn coaster wheels and seatbelts / restraints.

I've still got the section of Steeplechase lift chain that I bought in my first ever visit to the Pleasure Beach a few years ago.Ride parts aren't really for the average visitor but there are some serious collectors (e.g. Theme Park Worldwide) who do have pretty big collections and like to show them off.
