They've got 10 coasters and seemingly the addition of Icon didn't seem to boost attendance as they hoped. So it would for me seem a bizarre business decision to build another one at this time.

I don't think they can afford one anyway.

However I don't think it's true that it would be unwise without knowing what it would be if they could build one. For instance if they built a world class RMC for example and marketed it well then it would do very well.

ICON isn't a bad coaster but they didn't market it well at all and you also can't really see it from outside the park either which doesn't help.

It's always interesting seeing really old photos of the parks and seeing how the top of the dippers lift hill had different designs over the years and that the onion/tear drop current design must be 40ish years old itself now.

Hopefully they'll be sprucing it up, maybe painting it gold for the 100th anniversary season.

Hmmm, I wonder if the person on Pleasure Beach socials has been reading this thread?

If you look at the funhouse photo(no 17), all those rides gone...
Speedboats, cableway, dodgems, reel, even the maze cafe can be spotted next to the Derby Racer.

I'm guessing, but is this absolute peak mid closed season for the Beach?
This extended winter closure is stimulating my appetite for coasters and Crevettes.
Or Crevettes and coasters.
Will Vallhalla open with the season.
Will Valhalla open this year?
I just hope we get a proper party for the dippers hundredth...the ninetieth do was very nice.

Maybe they could be take inspiration from Chessington’s new ride and for 2023 launch a jungle inspired ice skating show entitled Hot Ice: Mandy’s Mayhem.

I think it might have been you who told me ... Kiss Me Quick was going to be the Valhalla shop and maybe this is the general expensive hoodies and bits of metal shop ?
