From a guest experience has Valhalla actually added anything to the experience, atleast when I rode it there was 0 fire effects and out of its technical rehearsals stage and nothing really new in the building, there has been a lot of hype around the attraction when I've been on park but is that just because it was gone for so long or am I just missing something.

Since the technical rehearsals finished its been working well on all my visit, most fire has been working and most effects have been a lot more reliable then they were. I have had one or two effects not working at times but for me at least it has been a lot more consist this season

It is unfortunately still very hit and miss. When everything works the experience is incredible, but sadly that only seems to happen very sporadically.

Basically, it still has the same issues it had before the 3.5 year refurbishment; unreliability and inconsistency.

Was at the park today (Friday 1st) even though me and my 9 year daughter had a great time, the operations today were awful. The park was really busy but The Big Dipper was only running 1 train for the first 2 hours, Icon/Big One didn't open to near 11, despite huge queues outside. Valhalla didn't open until the afternoon and around 2pm The Big One shut for the day.

Very frustrating when a place is open from only 10am to 6pm and main rides like Big One/Icon/Valhalla are not open until nearly a hour after opening and even longer.

Sadly, that sounds like a typical days operations nowadays, and why I rarely go to the Beach on busy days, compared to off peak (next week midweek will be dead), they simply can't cope comfortably when there are large numbers of punters on the park.
Never used to be the case.

Big One is “unavailable” again today. The sun is out, first weekend of the illuminations. Big queues for everything.

Got told off by security for passing through metal detector without his prior permission.

I know it's probably been raised countless times but for the love of god...get rid of system of scanning tickets for every ride. I create a group, which includes me and my daughter, yet when it scans my phone (which can take either 1 second or over a minute depending on how lucky I get!!) It only ever allows one of the group to go through?! It's ridiculous.

Unless there is a attendant standing there to scan me through to, I then have to stand there, trying to scan my phone again. 3 times yesterday I just gave up and jumped the barrier.

It's a stupid system and needs to stop.

Yeah we didn't have that faff, we got a ticket to scan ourselves in, yet even with that it's bonkers

There hasn't been anything happening with it all day. One train is being stored on the lift hill. I have asked what the issue is, but nobody seems to know (/nobody wants to say)

As we all know, it will be zero maintenance.
Just the usual seasonal weekday back to school cuts.
2nd and 3rd of September. Saturday and Sunday. Last weekend of most school holidays.

There were two engineers at the top of the lift hill yesterday underneath where the lift chain returns.

Knew yesterday would be a write off with crowds, but got a few decent goes on the Big Dipper with it being on two trains before retiring to ‘spoons.

Highlight of the day was when Icon went down and whilst five staff and Andy Hygate stood around, a lady from the queue shouts to them “excuse me, you gonna open it back up or should we all **** off and ride something else”

Always get a straight talking group of people at Blackpool.

Kids are back in school then

According to the app, the following rides are currently closed:
Big one, Valhalla, Dipper, Grand national, Infusion, Avalanche, Ghost train, Wallace, River caves

Surely not...!

That is ridiculous if true. Utterly absurd.
