I'm confused by this. The park reopened Valhalla in 2023 after it had sat SBNO for a few years. They spent money doing up the ride, giving it a refurbishment and a bit of a cosmetic makeover, and they complimented the area with Loki's Bar next to it which has wooden Nordic decor. So you'd think that the logical thing to do would be to give the ride in front of them that is being refurbished and relaunched a similar aesthetic or theme. Maybe give it some runic symbols, paint it brown, theme it to Thor's hammer or the flight of a hawk from Norse mythology, something like that right so it all ties together visually and thematically? No, Pleasure Beach decide to theme it to a fricking space rocket instead. I don't get it. I mean I know it's not a theme park, it's an amusement park that only lightly uses themes, but that seems like a bit of a bizarre choice. Almost as if they didn't really want to theme it and just went with some stock generic look for it rather than deciding to do anything creative.
