Don't know if this has been posted yet but the guys who climbed the Big One posted the video on YouTube (at least I presume it's the same guys)

One, it's incredibly easy to get into the park... Two, they chose the most awkward way of climbing the coaster. I presumed they just walked up the lift hill rather than climbing the drop.

Edit: Turns out they climbed up Stealth as well

It now appears that a BPB Platinum Season Pass allows you to get one free admission per year to PortAventura!

Also, in terms of season pass benefits, I hate to say I had a very poor experience earlier this week (Monday).

On BPB's website it states that season pass holders get a 10% discount on wristbands when purchased at the gate. I entered the park with friends via the arena entrance as the main ticket office had at least a 90 minute queue. I presented my pass, got my own wristband and then asked for the 10% discount on 3 other wristbands I was buying. The guy did not know anything about season pass holders recieving discounts, so understandably he rang his manager up. He then got off the phone and refused to give the discount as he said it needed to be pre booked online. I then showed him BPB's own website which says "applies to the gate price", at first he did not believe it was the park's own website but once I had shown him that it was, he walked our group inside the arena to the desk. We then got to speak to a manager (who in fairness was very polite) and she told me that the discount applied to me buying wristbands for myself. I then had to explain to her that as a season pass holder I would never need to buy a wristband for myself, only for friends/family. She then stated that the discount only applied to a single wristband purchase, even though the website states wristbands (plural). By this time we had been trying to enter the park for around an hour. The manager then rung her superior, who also knew nothing about season pass discounts so we were then taken to the guest services counter inside the park where we were told that we would not be recieving any discount because they had no knowledge of this offer even though it was listed on their own website. By this time I had steam coming out of my ears, not because I was angry at the staff, but because season pass benefits have clearly not been communicated to them whatsoever. It took another 30 minutes before a supervisor came and eventually gave us the discount but stated that the website would be changed immediately to remove the offer because it "does not exist." The website has not been changed and the offer remains listed.

BPB's dealing of season pass benefits is the worst of any park I have ever seen anywhere in the world, they need to sort it out or they may as well not even bother in the first place.

I have sent an email to BPB regarding this and I hope they will make improvements as the situation at the moment is dire. Has anyone else experienced these issues?

That's been the case for a while - it's a good perk.

Pleasure Beach often have clunky processes, I know it's something they have tried to improve, but there is still some work to do. It's not too long ago that they had analogue tills, which made doing any kind of discount a nightmare.

As pointed out on another site Mako...Same every year.
Out of interest...Why didn't your fellow visitors buy online beforehand?
It would have worked out much cheaper.

Yes, tried to use the alleged 20% discount on ride photos earlier this year but they were having none of it. I didn't bother taking it to the park management as I didn't want to waste time on the park.

Regarding the 10% discount on wristbands, that used to say 10% off online price & gate price but they changed it early in the season to just be the gate price.

I also know of a season pass holder that received 10% discount from on park shops, when it says nothing about that on the discount list. I tried but failed.

It seems they don't really have much of a clue what they are offering and what they are not offering when it comes to season pass discounts. The PortAventura free entry has only been added to the list on the website again recently.

They are from France and did not decide if they wanted to go in the park before we got to Blackpool.

We had an almost identical experience the other week in attempting to get the 10% discount. I have to say its absolutely infuriating that BPB publicise these benefits and then effectively call you a liar when you try to use them. It's not a new issue either, as has been said. Hopefully it will be sorted out for next season, but I'm not holding my breath.

It does seem odd that a park that heavily discounts entrance fees that they wouldn't honour a 10% of the full gate price when presented with proof on their own website. They could have booked online for £22 and yet they wont take £3.20 off a £32 gate price when shown proof. lol o_O

Just had en email about £99 2018 season passes

Available now? Very interested in purchasing an annual pass for PBB next year but I think £99 would be my limit in terms of the price I'm willing to pay for a single park annual pass.

Yes, if purchased before 1st October. Collection only.

I think they get even cheaper come nearer to Christmas? Around the £80 Mark I think.
I think they are a bit inconsistent with that. Scott posted an £80 deal for existing season pass holders on Club Pleasure Beach Experience - that's a steal.

Them Golden Ticket awards are still such a laughing stock. I'm guessing none of the judges have ridden Valhalla recently?

I'm quite surprised to see Millennium Force is no longer their number 1 steel coaster.
