You’re too kind. Just think, when Icon is old news the rumour mill will inevitably start up all over again!

Blackpool Gazette have reported Friday 25th May for the opening day:
Blackpool Pleasure Beach's new £16.25m rollercoaster Icon will open to the public on Friday, May 25 - in time for the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
Bosses at the South Shore attraction confirmed the date, ending the wait for rollercoaster fans around the world who are eagerly anticipating the opening of the double-launch ride.
Finishing touches are now being made to what will be the world's most interactive rollercoaster - crossing paths and coming into close quarters with some of the park's long-standing favourites such as the Big One and the Big Dipper.
Pleasure Beach managing director Amanda Thompson said: “We’ve been overwhelmed with calls and e-mails from people all over the world wanting to know when Icon will open to the public. "I’m so excited to be able to answer and confirm May 25! We can’t wait to invite those who dare to ride to Blackpool to experience this truly incredible ride. "Icon promises to set hearts racing.”
Work began on the ride in December 2016, and in recent weeks visitors to the Pleasure Beach have been able to watch the gleaming golden carriages whizzing through the park at speeds of around 50mph.
Deputy managing director Nick Thompson added: “The launch of Icon is an extremely exciting day for our industry, both in the UK and beyond. "We couldn’t be more pleased to see and experience it here in the UK and to showcase another world first at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.” Icon will be the UK’s first double-launch rollercoaster, sending riders soaring during a two-and-a-half minute ride.
The two powerful thrusts of acceleration can only be likened to that felt by Formula 1 drivers, the attraction says.

Surprised it's not opening sooner. It's been testing for ages now. That's still another 5 weeks till it's offically open.
Sky Force soft opened a good 4 weeks before it officially opened, its just the Pleasure Beach way!

Strange that it will open on a Friday instead of a Saturday!
