As much as everyone would like to see a reunion. I just get the feeling that there is some issues that need to be resolved.

Is Noel worried any income earned will go to his now ex wife?

Will Liam want more control over how things are done, now he is the bigger act?

Who would want to even join the band, knowing it's a powder keg?

Is Noel comfortable being in that kind of media attention anymore?

How long would any tour be. Both knowing full well, the longer the tour the more toxic it will get?

I imagine at some point someone will make them both a financial offer they just can't turn down.

Probably just be a load of outdoor shows in Manchester, and maybe selected festival dates around Europe. They'll do a press conference together and assorted interviews beforehand and that'll be it.

Was convinced it would've happened this year for the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe, but got the 30th anniversary of What's The Story (Morning Glory) next year. Though they could hold off til the 30th anniversary of Be Here Now, the media frenzy for that release was unreal.

Oasis will come back together eventually based on money, even if it takes another ten years.

What I'd say is, look how bad they were when they split - some things are just best left alone. Huge massive gigs with prices to match, and terrible echoing sound in hell holes like Wembley Stadium, or drowned-out colossal fields where it's like watching a DVD on volume 10/100.

Could still be fun though.

Been having a think about the whole blur v oasis thing.

I remember at the time how big that week was. Obviously drummed up by the record companies to sell more copies of either single. Blur won that battle. Clearly the war was won by oasis. Blur recently got together again and the world went "oh look blur are back together..........anyway!" Liam managed to drum up more interest in touring one album without his brother, who wrote said album (or so he says..........)

I've never really had time for blur away from the singles. I've bought copies parklife and the great escape. Good albums. But I've just never connected with them in any way. Musically they are the better band. But I think they just lacked 1 key ingredient. Raw, gutsy, passion. With a oasis you hear of gigs such a main road and knebworth. Huge events that defined a generation. You never hear of the blur equivalent.

I dunno if it was the school I went to, or because I'm from the north. Round our way, they were just another band. Nobody obsessed over them like they did with oasis and other bands such as the stereophonics (people forget how big they were for a period. The world never forgave them for handbags and the gladrags however) and supergrass.

Be interesting to hear if you saw it as the other way. Could be a very north/south divide on this.

Blur have some horrible album tracks, but then again so do Oasis.

Blur were very much icons with their style, clothes, haircuts, attitude, etc. Oasis were a bunch of ####s but their music was probably a little better at the time, but hasn't aged as well I don't think.

I saw band mates from each perform on Sunday at Warwick Castle. Noel Gallagher blew everyone away, as to be expected. Graham Coxon bored everyone to sleep with his poxy pretentious noodling grunge tribute band.1000022937.jpg1000022865.jpg

Went to a very brit pop heavy gig in Liverpool last month which featured Ocean Color Scene, Cast, Embrace, and Republica. Certainly seemed like the youngest people there were people like myself who were kids during high ceiling of brit pop.

Blown away by the Oasis songs I’m sure.
There was a lot of love for the High Flying Birds stuff too. So many bucket hats, cries for "Rock n Roll Star" and "Cigarettes and Alcohol", some people definitely booked for the wrong brother.

Oh and Johnny Marr was the second support act, he was a bit alright.

I really wanted to go to that Liverpool gig. Although I worked have used embraced being on for a chance to nip to the bog and bar. I can never tell them and shed seven apart.

In truth. Oasis did 2 albums. We all remember the sheer excitement, followed by sheer disappointment that was, Be Here Now. The other albums were just meh at best.

People dismiss them now. They are the 90s and what's the story is the album of that decade. It may not be the best, it may not be the most technical. Without that album, britpop doesn't exist.
